British crossword puzzles are pretty hard when you're not British. I don't know any Scottish TV detectives, hills north of Brighton, or Welsh dishes. I just want to finish one crossword puzzle on my own without looking at the answers. Just one. ._.

You might prefer the cryptic clue for that particular puzzle: "I must interrupt fat Scottish landowner."

Learning about Britain through crossword puzzles... who would've thought?First thing that springs to mind is owner, but not sure how I can fit that one with the cryptic clue lol actually..... as I type, I remember land owners used to be called Lairds which would fit with the cryptic one

It just hit me today. It's almost Christmas and I'm 500 miles away from my kids. This is the first time I won't be with them for Christmas. I don't think it's possible to be any more depressed.
