They sound interesting, though. Right before your brain implodes. :D

Why do humans wear shoes? Sure, it might be useful sometimes, such as for protection, but why else place your feet in those monstrous contraptions?

-shudders at the thought-

I agree. Shoes are for squares and people who walk in urban environments that might be littered with glass and metal and stuff.

I really prefer bare feet myself, shoes feel like death traps for my feet (not to mention socks ).

I would walk barefoot, but right now it is a bit cold out. I also might step on glass, gum, or a needle. Some kid a couple years back was sliding down the slide and was stuck by a hypodermic needle someone (a drug user) left behind in the sand.

Cold, pfft

Ouch about the needle though

Yeah, that's what my husband said. He grew up in upstate New York and he said he'd run out in bare feet in below freezing weather. He says Californians don't really know what cold is. ;)

Id say he's right ;)

I live in a pretty warm state now, but I think, because I spent two years of my life in Indiana when I was 2 years old, then my body just adapted to the cold since it was exposed to it at such a young age.

The band recording went well. It could have been better, but it was at least alright. I would have liked to run through the set before we recorded them, but it worked out ok with only one take. A few mistakes on each of our parts. We will see when we get a copy of it. It should air in January.

Man, my friends are into some of this new age-ish spirituality stuff, but its the apparently semi-more-legit kind of new age-ish spirituality stuff that has just arisen in the last couple of years. E.G. Pleiadians, the earth coming to an awakening soon etc.

Nonetheless, my point is, it's all neat, but why the heck does everything they want to show me have to be a video? Why cant I read these ideas like the old days? Videos that have some kind of spiritual ideas in them are annoying, I just want to read my spiritual ideas, I want written sources!...

Kids these days and their "Awakening Messages"

Now that you mention it, I don't like videos myself. I have a very slow, dial-up modem (I know I am still in the dark ages with computers) and just having a video with no explanation is kind of irritating and depressing. I'd rather read, anyway.

Dear God, you have dial-up?? You poor thing :(

Yeah, those videos will have some kind of soothing or mystical music, pretty pictures, and then either text on the screen explaining the ideas, or some person who talks over the pretty pictures. For some reason, it just annoys me. Why the hell cant they just write a proper article or essay on the ideas??

Maybe this is just the generation we are coming to. People convey ideas and things through video now...

Or maybe it's just that the ideas being presented don't hold water when you can quickly re-read the passages that seem a bit off on the first reading, or when you can easily stop mid-way and look up a point they made to confirm that it's correct. ;)

I want to become a mountain hermit.
Not me. Too many hills to walk up and down.

If I've got to be a hermit, I think I'd prefer to be a tropical beach hermit. Or maybe a couch hermit.

Yes, I have considered the lack of validity. One of the most obvious features of these videos is they dont always have a source. Some of this stuff, though, seems to have roots in something.

But, im good with my old fashioned methods of awakening, you're ideas are neat, but no thanks :D

"Couch hermit" :D lol . I was gonna frubal you for that, but it requires me to spread my frubals elsewhere first :(
