I have my new patient appointment at the VA in a couple hours. I haven't had a proper exam in so long I'm a little nervous about it and what might be found. I know I have a few issues that should be discussed, but certain tests and exams that I should have on a regular basis I haven't had in so long that something could be wrong and I'd have no idea.

I had X-rays on my knee today but, I should've gotten an MRI because it was my cartilage not my bone...hmmmmm. And I was in the office 45 minutes before I got called in for a 4 minute procedure. AND I was in the office before a lot of people and they got in there before I did. -_- Ugh people these days.

My appointment went well. I finally seem to have found a primary care provider that will honestly listen to my issues and take me seriously. For the first time since I was first diagnosed with migraines, about 15 years ago, I actually had someone want to help me with them. She upped the prescription dose the ER gave me, prescribed a nasal spray as my sinus issues seem to be a main trigger for my migraines, discussed preventative medications, AND is putting in for a consult with Neurology in Iowa City as she is concerned with the frequency and severity of the episodes. That's the most attention I think I've ever gotten for my migraines past a declaration that I have them and "here's a prescription".

Yay! :jiggy: It's a great feeling to have a medical professional actually listen for once.

I feel so ****** off and depressed. Sometimes I wonder if it looks really awesome on the afterlife, heaven, whatever and try to take a look at it..

I have noticed something fairly recently. The more i understand myself, the more it seems like i understand everyone else. When i recognize a trait within myself that i've seen in other people, it clicks, and i see why people act certain ways. It helps that i've been actually analyzing, to an extent, how i think, and why i think certain things. Or what is causing me to feel a certain way. Understand yourself, and you will be much closer to understanding others, is what i believe.

Truly, when one knows them-self, they know others.

Just keep on truckin', dude. Things change, hard times are not forever, especially if you find out why they are hard, then you can make it easier.

I'm very happy for you, Draka. Finding the right doctor and neurologist made all the difference in my life. It's been almost two years and my quality of life is so different.

I wish you all the best.

My son had 2 seizures this evening. He is all right, but they are so scary!! He bit his tongue and there was blood.

I hope he'll be fine soon.

Just in case this happens again (I hope not), first thing to do is to get a spoon, roll a clean handkerchief or cloth on it and place it on the mouth of the person having seizure. That way, the person having seizure won't bit his/her tongue.

My poor son, Elijah. He has both arms in slings. Poor guy looks so sad, too. Doctor put him on percocet to keep him from moving around too much. He'll have to have one arm in a sling for at least a week, and the other longer because of the fracture. They started back on his anti-seizure meds as well. :(
