This is for Badran -- just don't know where else to post it.
Regarding our race: I'm just covering my bases (that means I am protecting my interests from possible negative exposure.)
I just noticed a bunch of responses to new Member Introductions. When I first saw it, I thought "I've struck gold! I will win for sure. Right now."
But, it was
fools gold, because they were not really brand new Intro's. They were some rather old ones that someone was saying "Hi" to.
Now, I was tempted to go ahead and post "Hello and welcome" and say that
technically 10 of them would qualify as a
Win according to the (non-existent) additional rules established for our competition.
But, I know that I would never be satisfied with an ill-gotten win. So, I am not going to do that. Deep down, I know that my intention in extending the challenge to you was that the competition includes responding to new posts --
initial posts of new members first posted AFTER we were both in agreement of our established competition.
I am going to amaze you with the swiftness and skill of my own posting feat of winningness and I want to be able to enjoy that win. I also want to make it clear, just in case the obvious scenario for a technically ease win also occurs for you. We are responding with the duly established greeting to NEW New Member Intro's.
edit: Additionally, in the spirit of keeping greetings genuine and personal, additional expressions of friendliness, comments and questions are permissible -- and completely optional. However, for the posting to qualify, it must contain "Hello and welcome" as a phrase -- although we may both feel free to express our creativity with capitalization, or lack thereof.
Agreed?
edit #2: I see that the mulitple posts I mentioned are no longer there. It really baffled me when I woke up this morning. But, after thinking about it -- I think I can guess what happened. (I recall there were links added to that user's new Intro post. I didn't look at them, but I bet they were something they shouldn't have been.) Good thing I didn't think I had a win there.
