Apparently Canada got rid of the penny. It feels strange.
You might not want to visit Lebanon, then. It seemed like they were setting off fireworks after every World Cup match. Then, of course, you have fireworks for weddings, holidays, just for fun....I'm about to sound all unpatriotic here but, sometimes I just hate the Fourth of July. In the weeks preceding it, and even for sometime after, you have people setting off firecrackers late into the night. Especially the night of the Fourth. People have absolutely no common sense about them as to what is a decent hour to do such a thing. There is no reason in the world to still keep going after 11 or even around midnight. Some bounce off my house for crying out loud. People have small children trying to sleep and having loud cracks outside their window isn't exactly conducive to a sound sleep. For children or their parents. Firecrackers are even illegal here and it doesn't seem to stop anyone. :tsk::149:
I figured it'd be one of the raw dishes. We usually say 'kibbeh nayyi', because there is kibbeh that isn't raw.Canada (or at least the Windsor Heath Department) has also declared war on certain Lebanese food, apparently:
Health unit bans Lebanese meat dish
Hopefully being fired for doing what needs to be done doesn't become too trendy.
It's still a terrible reason though. As for that particular article, that was just the first one I found to post it here, that it did happen.Reasonably, once he left the protected area he was no longer "doing his job," and so acted as a good semaritan. In that scenario, he was only fired only for leaving his job.
