Clear blue sky and beautful out.... The kids dug for worms to feed to the chickens, and I worked up the garlic and potato patch and the wife made a picnic and brought it out to us for dinner.

Last years volunteer garlic is growing well and I managed to find about 2 dozen potatoes I missed last year. I have about 300 new garlics planted and 100 new potato starts planted. Only about 1,000 more garlics and about 400 more potato starts to go. Hope to get another garlic patch going in the forest this year as well.

Lesson learned from last year... do not plant elephant garlic( a form of leek) in the forest.... moose love them... lost the entire patch... They don't mess with the actual garlic though, interestingly enough..
