If a woman wants an abortion, there's a huge chance that not getting one will harm her. Depression, suicide, poverty, loss of opportunity, and a million more things will land on her. The child, too, gets a wonderful life. Drunk poor mommy doesn't love it, in fact resents it's existence, so it's bound to grow up to be a wonderful member of society.

In the Freakanomics books, it was pointed out that the violent crime rate in the US began to spike in the 1980s. There was a genuine concern that the world was going to soon see essentially super-criminals. Remember all the apocalyptic movies in the 80s like The Warriors, and Escape from New York? They were spawned by that movement toward more and more criminals. And then, in the early 90s, the crime rate dropped way down in a very short amount of time. The reason? The unwanted, unloved children I posited above stopped being born because Roe vs. Wade gave moms who didn't want to be moms a way to get out. Horrifying damaged people who learned to hate from parents who didn't want them started to disappear, making society itself safer. Everyone, every single member of society, has a better world when abortion is available. The largest benefactor? The mom-who-ain't-a-mom-type. Why would anyone wish that kind of existence on anyone else?

So, as to my original point, forcing my mother to harm herself, regardless of the mechanism, is evil, plain and simple. A person who would doom this women to a life she doesn't want, and a child who will grow up poor, and more likely to fail at life than a child who is wanted, is a person who is acting on bad information.

If a woman, any woman, wants an abortion, she should have that option available to her, both for her own good, and the good of a child who's life will be brutishly difficult and come to no good.

I already gave my answer. Not doing so again, and certainly not under these conditions. And you don't know why the crime rate in the 1990s began dropping. Your hypothesis is full of holes. For instance, your hypothesis doesn't explain the falling crime rates in countries around the world during the same time period, which had no association with abortion or its measures.

I'm sure glad my mother, who was mentally ill, chose life for me instead of abortion.

As I said, the only thing a president can do is release oil from the reserves, which will only have a small impact on the cost of gas. There can be gas taxes adjusted to lower the consumer price, but production is largely on oil companies, demand, and global stability.

These media organizations thrive because they are have a gullible base that are easily attracted to their content. Their emotions are manipulated in ways that are common in sales and marketing. If we had a citizenry that was more educted and skilled at critical thinking they would not be attracted to this type of media. The right is opportunistic and they are massively successful at it.

I have seen examples of this media and I recognize it as trash and not worthy my time. I learn about what these media groups present by some RF members who repeat it. They are indifferent to being made aware that their sources aren't reputable. They don't care. Being informed is not an interest for them.

The Left media lies and carries the water for the DNC and swamp, to add cover to their mischief. This makes it easier for the Right wing media, to stay more with the facts and point out the lies. During the Russian Collusion Coup and hoax, Conservative media said the truth about Trump, that would eventually become reality. Fake news pushed the lies, that many thought was the truth, with the Right appearing to be lying, based on the quality of the Lefty con job.

The most pivotal person who turned the tide toward the Right leaning Press, was the late Rush Limbaugh. Up to Limbaugh, the DNC controlled the legacy media; TV and newspapers. Rush carved out his own little empire, with his daily 3 hour talk radio program. He would analyze the daily news and DNC and catch them red handed. The DNC hated Limbaugh and used law fare against him, even intimidating his sponsors.

His continued success resulted in many other Conservative voices, appearing, also using alternate media, like radio. This led to FOX news and Conservative TV programming. It was not until Rush died of cancer did the DNC go over overboard; 2021. They were no longer even pretending to be truthful; repetition, intimidation, cover up. The recent loss to Trump, has knocked out propaganda wing, who is slowly coming to term with the truth, while still fighting with their bad habits of the past.
