The Reason Two-State Solution is Unachievable

Well we shouldn’t deny the fact that Israel has put around a half million Jews in occupied territories which complicates a 2 state solution. Let alone alone the fact that the Knesset voted against a Palestinian state.


I would even argue that Israel efforts end especially nethenyahu never supported a 2 state solution because they believe in a greater Israel, and that would mean that their aim was to make sure a Palestinian state never will be a fact but rather a regime change to the countries surrounding them. This we know of the advise given to Netanyahu in 1995 that is known as ‘a clean break’


Judging by all the miles of tunnels, the purchasing of weapons, the mantra of “from the river to the sea”, the stealing of food supply for the innocent, the taking of babies for hostages, the revelation that the plan was to continue the killing of innocent in Israel beyond what they accomplished, the reality that no Jews are allowed to go into Gaza… yes, I don’t think I would want that as a state either.

I wonder why Egypt would let there be tunnels that go into their country?

It's self fulfilling prophecy. It's like making prophecy saying there will be a nuclear war in 2050 and religion lunatics launching nuclear weapons on 2050 to fulfill it. Such prophecies show why these sorts of end-time faiths are so dangerous.
Yes, that is a position that one can take. But the forming of Israel into a country that still has their customs and language (never happened in the history of mankind) cannot be “self-fulfilled”. So I wouldn’t agree with your viewpoint.

It has to do with religion.
When the borders of Croatia, Slovenia and Italy were re-drawn after WW2, nobody protested.
The all three nations are Catholic.

The wars broke out where there were religious differences. Bosnia and Kosovo.

Obviously it's self fulfilled. Jewish population, by design and planning, bought land in that region and then, using opportunistic backing by Western nations at the *** end of their colonial empire, converted it into their own state expelling the Palestinian population from these regions.
100% self fulfilled. A for ruthlessness.

Never has a land that has been conquered, its people flung to the far corners of this earth, ever maintained their language and customs and come back to create a nation again.

But your view does remind me of a quote of Jesus:

Who are the Palestinians.
They are the original descendents of farmer populations that settled in the region since the stone age. They were always there, though they have changed religions and cultures and languages as various cultures extended their dominance in that region. Evicting them from where they have lived for the last 10,000 years is basically the same injustice that has befallen the indigenous people throughout the world since the scourge of Western colonization began.

Note that several of the Jewish groups have the same ancestry. They were, and always have been people of Bronze Age Levant farmers.

Btw if the Jews were just the pawns and subjects of the British Empire, why did they engage in a fight against them?
And why weren't the Arabs pawns and subjects of the British Empire when they had the same status as the Jews and afterwards even had British officers in their Armies while the Jews did not?

I simply am saying that the man on the street apparently doesn’t want one. Everyone outside the location says they do but as the saying goes, “You can lead a horse to the water but you can’t make it drink”.

That’s what it “appears” to me and perhaps gives the understanding of why it never happens.

powder keg, which will attract other major countries

It doesn't seem like the controlling factions on either side have much interest in peacefully sharing the land.

So, when there was a two-state potential… what did Hamas do with all the money to make it successful? Make tunnels, buy weapons, and then attack Israel.

One can only begin to wonder if the Muslim leaders are really just giving platitudes to continue the effort. Sweet words from the mouth when the heart is far from it. (factual evidence seen today)
My post was not about leaders when both sides have leaders that want death and destruction. And I'm in no way claiming that the path is easy or quick. Changing minds and hearts does not happen over night but it's the journey that we all should try to work towards.

If we look around the world over the past 100 years or so, we see over and over again that it's possible. And beyond that, to think that people can't change is to deny the message that religion preaches - that change is possible. To deny that hate can be replaced by love is to deny God and to do one's best to help that take place is to align with God's wish.

The first step for anyone who isn't an Israeli or Palestinian is to support their governments to recognize both states, if they have not done so already.

There is no reason for the G7 countries and many others to hold out on this recognition, especially since Israel has clearly shown they have a "go it alone" mentality.

Islamic countries can follow suit or show their true colors.
