It's probably pretty safe to make such an assumption. But not everyone understands statistics. So be prepared for someone to point out that you are wrong because their uncle Ernie is both a redneck and a Democrat.

JK.Before JFK and especially LBJ, most of the southern rednecks were democrats. They didn't want to be in the same political party of a president who wanted to give civil rights to black people. Although only a child, I remember a neighbor who changed parties and sported a bumber sticker that had a picture of a simian looking pregnant black woman that read - "I went all the way with LBJ !"
So is it pretty safe to assume that most redneck republicans are racist ? I know here in this southern state most are.

Racist is an understatement. All you have to do is visit the conservative headquarters (fox) and read their comments on anything related to the President. These people are scary.
EDIT: Apparently fox has shut down commenting on its stories. I can't blame them. You can still visit foxnewscomments.com to see how disgusting fox lovers are.

CNN was 17th and MSNBC 24th for the first three months of the year. Hahah. They always say the same thing. I wouldn't be too proud about that if I were you. Just because fox viewers ONLY watch fox, doesn't mean it's factual and honest. Intelligent people watch multiple news sources to make an informed decision. Fox viewers, not so much.
As a christian, why do you follow the most immoral 'news' organization in cable news? If you listen to Rush, why do you listen to this immoral human?

I don't even watch Fox news. I was just pointing out the inaccuracy with your statements. I did not hear about the signs on the net even though I am sure it can easily be found. It was all over the new about two years ago. Why is it you want a government that thinks you are so stupid that it must tell you what to do? Why do you want a government that tells farmer that can't use THEIR own water to irrigate because it might endanger some minnow? Why do you want a governement that has raised corporate taxes so high (the highest in the world) that companies move to other countrys and then they blame it on the republicans? Why do you want a government that taxes "rich" people so high they have to lay off or not hire you and me? I have heard hundreds of small buisness owners who said they have laid off people or avoided hireing them because of liberal taxation and over regulation to the point that some of them have even closed their buisnes up? How do you justify telling me I must pay for someone elses healthcare? Why do you want a president that refused the new oil pipe line from canada and denied all offshore oil permits, new clean coal, or nuclear power production which cost tens of thousands of jobs and raised oil prices. Then turn around and throw billions away on governement gurantyed loans to solar companys that went bankrupt? Why do you support a govenment that when asked to justify healthcare in the constitution said they really didn't care what the constitution says or that we would have to vote on it to see what was in it? Etc.......Liberalism isn't just wrong it's destroying the greatest country on the earth.

I don't know if they are talking points or not but they are true none the less. I could have posted hundreds of those points and still have only scratched the surface. I do not claim republicans are all that great but they are far better than democrats. If you believe that the left has truth on their side why didn't you refute my claims instead of makeing a meaninless assertion about their source (which is not where I got them). Is anything that points out the utter failure of the democratic party propaganda?
Your "facts" are as made up as creationist "facts". For instance, you don't seriously believe anyone on this board is stupid enough to believe that you have actually sat down with "hundreds" of small business people who all said they have laid off people or avoided hiring them because of "liberal" taxation, do you?

I never said I sat down with them I said I heard them say so. If you have to change my claims in order to argue a position that is a sign of desperation. You say I made up these dozen or so facts and to prove it you make one inaccurate counter claim. I listen to NPR (a liberal news service), Hannity, and some local talk stations. I have literally heard well over a hundred small buisness owners call in and say they are on the brink or past the breaking point for their buisness. They cite the same reasons, taxation and regulation. There are very few more well known, well documented, and obvious issues out there. It seems you will just fabricate whatever reality needed in order to maintain the illusion. Ragardless it is a matter of fact that we have recently became the country with the highest corporate tax rate in the world while simultaneously having our credit rating reduced for the first time all the while spending trillions on nothing. So your point is wrong.

I heard the interview he actually says the private sector is fine (on what planet) even inspite of his efforts to destroy it by taxation and regulation. Reagan said it best the governement isn't the solution it's the problem. If Obama would get out of our way America would excell as it always has. Here's the trouble with so many of you conservatives: You try to get by on half-truths. But what are the actual facts? Sure, on paper the US has one of the highest, if not the highest, corporate tax rates in the world. But many US corporations do not pay taxes at the highest US rate due to our loophole ridden tax code. In fact, several large US corporations pay no taxes at all, and many others pay only a fraction of the official rate. I am aware of one study -- which admittedly is a few years old -- that concluded US corporations have one of the lowest effective tax rates in the industrialized world. But don't let that stop you: For many conservatives, half the truth seems to be all they can handle, poor things.

Isn't private sector job growth doing fine? From what I see there's close to 4.3 million new jobs in the private sector over the last 27 months. It's doing much better than during the Bushy years, that's for sure.

I have no doubt that there is some truth to what you say. However it is a universally acknowledged fact that liberals are the party that always taxes and regulates everything to death. It is also well known that companies go over seas for two main reasons. Taxation and wages. Since it is hard to blame companies for having trouble being profitable when the guy who changes the light bulbs makes over 40$ an hour (I am not making that up I knew a guy who got paid 40$ hr to change bulbs in federal court rooms). It is well known that labour unions give the vast majority of their money to the democrats. Or hard to blame them for leaving to avoid the highest taxes in the world especially as you pointed out that Obama's buddies like GE pay so little. Or even to avoid being told what kind of super expensive light bulbs they are to buy to be green. All of those are leftist agendas. So it's not quite the picture you paint. I just heard an interview with the governour of (Virginia) I believe. He said they have been unable to attract billions worth of high tech companies to the state for the sole reason that the government will not permit them to build clean coal or nuclear power plants which are the ones with the clean power needed for that industry. Or there is Obama's refusal to allow a few more thousand safe miles of pipe from Canada even though we have tens of thousands already and no major disasters. That costs our economy tens of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars plus our reliance on the middle east.
