Many have presented this idea, do you think it will work? A $100 billion dollar bill is being needed to make sure people who can't afford guns get a subsidy to make sure they can go buy a gun. The only requirements is to pass a background check.

If you have no criminal history, you qualify. We can't take any chances and we've seen all too often that there isn't a good guy with a gun to stop the bad guy. This will fix that. Additionally, crime rates will drop tremendously due to more good guys outnumbering the bad.

Should this bill pass?

As a Canadian, I can only ask about such an idea, "What could possibly go wrong?"

Increase the amount of funding to provide everyone with a copy of the Qur'an and the Bible... and a bottle of JD... and a Ted Nugent CD. Yep, that'll work...

Problem is, being mandatory does not really change anything of significance. People will still fall short and something will need to be done about that reality.

That would be like saying that if we just had more cars on the street that the accident rate most assuredly would go down.

They always talk about how more guns = less crime and showing studies. I think esmith would be a good resource for that info.

Which study, can you provide a link?

The country with one of the highest gun related deaths in the world wants to dish out more. As has been said before, "What can possibly go wrong?"
