The South has risen again: America’s White Christian Nationalist Party

The “good people”, according to President Donald Tump”, at the 2017 Charlottesville’s Confederate generals statues removal protest.

Yesterday morning, a childhood friend recounted once hearing the minister of Shades Valley Presbyterian Church in Mountain Brook, Alabama, aka The Tiny Kingdom, an upscale “over the mountain" white Birmingham suburb, say at a Wednesday night fellowship dinner at this church, that the real Jesus was a Jew with black kinky hair and a long crook nose. I laughed and said that minister and his wife and I were friends once upon a time.

Playing chess with a black pastor friend a little while later, I said, “You know Christianity in America is white supremacist because its Jesus is a blond white guy with blue eyes.” My friend nodded yes, as had every black person I said that to over the years. They know the real Jesus was not a white guy.

Gosh, do ya remember the Birmingham police doing this to blacks asking for equal treatment under the laws?

Gosh, do ya remember University Of Alabama School of Law graduate states rights “segregation now, segregation forever” Governor George Wallace”?

Do ya remember?

I do truly hope I am not accused of racially discriminating just against Alabama.

Donald Trump’s base is Aryan. If you don’t believe me, look at photos and film footage of the white mobs at MAGA rallies, the January 6, 2021 insurrection, and the campaign rally where Trump was shot in the ear.

A picture is worth a thousand words, Res Ipsa Loquitur, the thing speaks for itself.

There is so much White Christian Socialism in plain view in America that it astounds me the White Dudes for Kamal Harris, Hollywood movie stars, American talk show hosts, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Michelle and Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Oprah, American pastors and news media, and the Pope are not talking about it every day on CNN and FOX.

Here’s a link to a video of Trump claiming to be a Christian and telling Christians he loves them and to vote for him this year and they won’t have to ever vote again:

Here’s a link to a really long New Yorker article about who really runs the White Christian Nationalist Party in America and allows Donald Trump to believe it's him. An amiga from Long Island, New York, who worked and lived a while in New York City, emailed it to me last night. Every American should be required to read it.
Inside the Trump Plan for 2025
A network of well-funded far-right activists is preparing for the former President’s return to the White House.

While Trump keeps insisting he knows nothing about the lunatic Project 25, which calls for a far right Christian takeover of America, consider Trump's vice-resident running mate J.D. Lance wrote the foreword for the Project 25 book soon to be released.

Consider red shirts terrorizing Americans who do not surrender and heil Trump- like brown shirts did in Nazi Germany.

Ya’ll come!!!

I guess that's why they told us not to look at Dixie Land.

"Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land."

At least they still have Waffle House.

And the Mississippi Delta region - that's where real music was invented.

If not for the quota of hotheads they've had over there, they would have had something. Most Southerners are pretty laid back and chill, but those hotheads...

The "Southern Democrats" are now mainly Republicans as a reaction to the Voting Rights Acts of the 1960's and Democrat actions to integrate white schools.
Bull. The only thing more racist than a Democrat is two Democrats

Believe what you want but my experiences say the opposite at least most of the time.

BTW, I used to be a Republican, and the one main reason I left was because of the rampant racism with so many in the party. And we see this now with Trump and so many of the MAGAs.

George Wallace born lived and died a Democrat and racist as hell.
He left the Democratic party for the American Independent party.

Just a few years later, Jesse Jackson ran for president as a Democrat. Barrack Obama was a Democrat.

People change. Parties change. The old Dixiecrat party is a distant memory.

Of course a fair share of the Dixiecrats stayed with the Democratic party as we know today. Lest one forgets proper history.

They just need to sing, "The Night they Drove Ole' Dixie Down", and just go home and reminisce among themselves , and let the world proceed going foreword.

While I understand, if not appreciate the rhetoric presented to be pondered, I can't in my right mind deny the validity of some types of segregation. Whether this amounts to being between black people and white people only, is a subject of great importance. There are, you see, some types of people I can hardly bear to be around. Coming from the southern parts of our neutral territories, I can at least acknowledge differences between people that warrant separation. I myself, well .. I am what I am, and others are what others are, also. As individuals, whether Chrisian or not, we have our differences between us. There are times when I am more apt to present a more ununified proposition in our societies, and there are other times where it has become evident enough that some separation is needed to help civility be more achievable. In such cases, I have found less resistance to the separation of hostilities than I have in times of peace. Unfortunately, some hostilities are so deeply rooted that we find ourselves in a near impasse, if not a necessitated one. Most of my friendships are with those of a more colorful tone than myself, which leaves me in a situation I find troubling. I guess time will tell the outcome of our situational realities, which is to suggest the future has yet to unfold.

The last one I ate at up by Oklahoma city last year broke me of ever eating at one again. The food was terrible.
To myself and a few friends that stopped there, the new name is Awful House lol

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I was raised predominately in the south. I am also about the only person I know with four half black kids. My parents, who were very, very "southern" didn't raise me to be a racist, and my mom's family didn't raise her to be racist. Half my dad's did, but not the other half. So I guess 1/4th of the people I was related to were racist. Even then, they didn't use the N word. And they would have sworn they treated African Americans well, but I think it was only as long as they knew their place so to speak. By the way, my paternal grandmother, who I spent most of my time around when we visited folks, was absolutely opposed to racism and adored my kids. She would have been appalled at any hint of racism, and her folks had lived in the South since the early 1700s. My mom's side of the family lived in the South for many generations.

Absolutely the most racist and OPEN ABOUT IT person I have ever known was from New Jersey of all places.

I will say this though - I am glad to live now where the African American man or woman has been free for ages. Not always free to be a complete citizen but free overall. I love the history of the Underground Railroad. Many white folks in the south seem to think that the Civil War was fought, not over slavery, but over states' rights but honestly, have they never read their state's Articles of Secession?

I always thought it was super ironic that my kids went to REL High School when it was predominately Hispanic and African American. I was very vocal about changing the name, and it WAS changed, thank goodness. I mean, for a time, but not while my kids attended, the football team was called The Rebels and the cheer team would fire a confederate cannon, with people dressed as confederates. Lordy.

Just have to say, as a Canadian, I am also proud of the history of the underground railroad.

I am sure you are! I love to hear the stories and it is so interesting to live in a "northern" city after living in a "southern" city for so long.

They just need to sing, "The Night they Drove Ole' Dixie Down", and just go home and reminisce among themselves , and let the world proceed going foreword.

Either that, or they can watch this scene. Richard Jordan's last movie and the High Water Mark of the Confederacy.
