I don't understand why people are afraid of religion, It is people who pretend to be a part of a certain religion, and actually not following its teachings that is dangerous.

A lot of people have issues with religions as religions have been used, have or do oppress people and have for millennia

The rest of spiritual and religious people who do their very best to be good people are not a threat to society at all.

This is debatable as you are using a generalization. A lot of people can easily be flipped due to one act they do not like. Mo cartoons for example caused a lot of Muslims to flip out. Some Muslims went off to murder people. All due to their religion and it's ideas of blasphemy. Same with Christians when they put their own blasphemy laws into action. A number of which still exist on the books but are enforced.

Still one needs to look at individual.

And for those who do not follow a religion why bother with what religion teaches anyway?

As some religions or interpretations of have regressive ideas. For example conservative Muslims have been introducing segregation into mosques in Canada against the wishes of many Muslims that have been here for decades or are born citizens. The conservatives do not care as they have the money thus run the show. So one can object and see a threat from the former not the latter.

No my point was Germany was sending people to death camps. You ideology would have people sit on their hands while millions are executed for being who they are. No intervention, just some fictional moral high ground you can preach from about how good and moral you are while people are being killed.

There are plenty of places i could hide people who were in danger of being killed because of religion or culture.
If someones were hurt I could help them medically. Give people who need it, food, water, clothes.
Just like many pacifists did under WW2, i know because my family(grandfather grandmother) did exactly that in WW2

Well karma is a reaction to an action done in the past.
So if i hurt someone, i will my self suffer in the future, call it payment for wrongdoing from the past.
