Lacuna Coil - Tight rope
Allthough I like thier music, I just don't hear anything goth or hard enough from them to have them classified as goth metal.

Bloody oath. It's definitely Nu-Metal IMO.

Just finished listening to

DragonForce - Inhuman Rampage album

Pantera - Message in Blood

Speaking of Nu-Metal, how would any get that Staind is Nu-Metal? Especially thier older stuff, that doesn't have any rap, pop, or metal elements. I'm starting to believe that if anyone does anything that doesn't perfectly fit into a catagory, they are doing something unique, or require some thought to label, the are branded either Emo or Nu-Metal. I think they should have simple labels, such as; Metal, Rock, Country, Rap, Pop, etc. No need for "this-core, that-core, this-metal, that-metal, or any other overly detailed or dumb genre label.

As soon as I find the article, I'll post it, but some people have actually said that Pantera paved the way for Nu-Metal. In an article in Penthouse, about a year ago, Shinedown's frontman made it clear he hates it when anyone calls them Nu-Metal.

There's an easy way around this... Ignore people who spend more time categorising their music than listening to it. Such people deserve to be hung by their toes over a cauldron of sulphuric acid and forced to inhale.

I've got no problem with people trying to DESCRIBE the sound of the bands they like, but trying to put them in a box for the sake of marketing deserves no more than a horrible lung burning death.
