Things That Annoy You

People who either hesitantly or slowly pull through a traffic light when it turns green, causing people behind them to get caught by another red light at the same crossing. Also, people who don't use their turning signal. For example, you'll be sitting at a stop sign, waiting for another automobile to pass by so that you can continue, but then they turn down the road you're on, meaning you were just wasting your time sitting there, and you know that they saw you waiting on them.

People going door to door, for any purpose.

Yesterday I had some people coming by to proselytize. I was as polite as I could be, and ended the conversation very quickly. I said I appreciate that they are doing what they believe to be the right thing, but I did not want to discuss religion at all.

It feels like a violation of my privacy for someone to walk up to my house and tell me they want to discuss the most important thing in the world with me -- as though they get to determine what I should think is the most important thing in the world. I strongly dislike it, almost the "h" word.

That is annoying. I think of religion like my penis - I have one but I have no need nor compunction to show it to everyone I meet.

How did the fed force them? You don't think the greed of banks played into this at all, making the CDOs and declaring them to be mostly AAA when they could actually be mostly bad loans? (I can't remember the name of the people that make the CDOs I'm just going to be a lefty and say 'the banks' for everything)

I agree with the red bearded atheist (first time for everything)

The Feds/government, in their infinite wisdom, and in the name of leveling the playing field, backed loans through freddy and fanny that the free market would not otherwise touch with a cattle prod

thus inflating housing sales, housing prices, and new home construction- which in turn also funneled genuinely qualified home buyers into an inflated FHA loan that they would not otherwise need, if the house wasn't priced far above market value.-
add to that the FHA insurance premium that ends up costing the borrower even more than the conventional loan would have in the first place.

Same thing happened to me today, likewise I was polite but tried not to give them any further leads... I have to give them credit for guts though, they must get a 'h' of a lot of bad reactions, and I have noticed - dogs never trust strangers in suits!

The lenders (eg, Countrywide) were the first to fail.
For banks who lend aggressively, it doesn't take much (percentagewise) loss to become insolvent.
But then, government was offering (& even imposing) bailouts, so this drove the failures to some extent.
They didn't need our money they have 10 x more than 6.7 billions of us combined .
Is capitalism on crack cocaine

It annoys me when people leave me hanging, especially if they have asked me to do them a favor and then later change their mind without having enough consideration for me to let me know. Do that to me a few times, and I'll stop being willing to do favors.

Or when people are inconsiderate of my time. If you make a habit of calling me just you're about to do something else, like place a drive-up window order, and say, "Hey. Hang on just a minute while I..." I'll start hanging up on you just after you say that.

I hate it when I get a call from someone who immediately asks me to hold while the person intending to speak to me gets around to it.

Another thing that annoys me is when people impatiently invade your space while you're checking out at the grocery store.

I will usually walk around my basket and bag groceries, to help out while the cashier is ringing up the items. When it's complete and I have to walk back around to the terminal to pay, it is very annoying for the person behind me to have moved forward so far, so as to be standing directly in front of the terminal, and blocking my access. Usually an "excuse me" will bring it to their attention that they need to back up, but I've had people move one step back, so as to still be uncomfortably close. It is annoying to have to say, "please give me more room than that."

I think by now people should be aware they shouldn't be gawking on someone's purchase with a card at a register.

I find it mildly annoying when women complain that products for females cost more than products for men, & they cite as examples....
tampons, bras, & purses.
Really?
There are no male versions.
(Note: The murse is too rare to be considered. And the bro exists only on Seinfeld.)

Oh yeah...

When someone sends me a text that says "hey, give me a call," so I do...and they don't answer the damn phone.
