Three Eternal Questions

1. Where did I come from?

2. Why am I here?

3. Where am I going after this life?
Since I am assuming you are asking these questions with hopes for spiritual/religious answers that is how I will try to answer them with my beliefs.

1. My "spirit" is a piece of the Divine itself separated and given spark of individuality.

2. To learn and gain wisdom and enlightenment through experience, and broaden the knowledge of physical life and existence and humanity and love (and other things not so pleasant unfortunately as well:( )

3. Summerland (a resting place likened to Heaven for some)for a period of time before moving on to another incarnation to keep working on #2 until such time as my "spirit" has advanced enough for the Divine to want it back. At such time the personal experiences and wisdom attained throughout my journeys become part of the Divine and I am returned to the whole.

Describing a question as meaningless is, in itself, a meaningful contribution. It reveals insight into a certain type of worldview.

tnutz, whilst those questions may be rather important ones, you tend to find that they are often avoided because continued debate on them is difficult. I can only answer those questions from my own belief, the same as anybody's answers (including Deut's), so backing up what are essentially assumptions not shared by many other people is difficult and so debate becomes tough.

1. I personally came from my parents through reproduction.
2. Is there a reason for my existence? If I made a ball and then justified its existence by saying "I wanted the ball to exist", would that be a sufficient answer to the question? I often find that is not what people mean when they ask "why" but that is what I believe.
3. Another incarnation. Possibly the summerlands but I do not think I am that far along yet.
Just one point Fluffy ( and I already think I know how you will answer, but I want to make sure) to 1. "from my parents through reproduction" - scientifically correct, but with no nuance other than the purely 'what I see and know about'.
3.Another incarnation; this time, no mention of 'What I see and know about'.

I think the point I am making is that you did not allow for the possibility of a previous life, although you do so in 3. (No problem) - but it is almost ( in my mind) like the guy who says (when asked 'Where did you go? ' ) 'Upstairs' - he could have said, through the front door and then upstairs. Do you get my point?
