Three scriptural reasons Barack Obama is the Beast

I believe the question of "sitting upon" needs to be addressed. It doesn't make sense that the woman is literally sitting on people but when it comes to nations proximity could be considered that. Since one sits on the back of the beast one would expect it to be on the north side but not above the head. I have heard another preacher say the same thing that the beast is the Arab league and the Harlot is Israel.

If your preacher thinks the Arab League is the beast of Revelation, he is a moron and you need to run, not walk, away from that garbage.

Hiram wasn't a Hittite.

Hiram, also called Huram, or Ahiram, Phoenician king of Tyre (reigned 969–936 bc), who appears in the Bible as an ally of the Israelite kings David and Solomon.

Where is the word Phoenician in the Old Testament?

“Phoenicians” was the name given to this people by the Greeks, but the Phoenicians continued to refer to themselves as Canaanites or by the names of their principal cities. During the second millennium B.C.E., the Canaanites controlled Palestine, Transjordan and Syria—from Ugarit down to the Egyptian border—and they developed a rich culture. Around 1200 B.C.E., they were forced out of these countries by the Arameans and the Neo-Hittites in the north, the Israelites and the Sea Peoples (Philistines, Sikils and Sherden, etc.) in the south, and by the Ammonites, Moabites and Edomites in the east."
https://www.biblicalarchaeology.org...-near-eastern-world/who-were-the-phoenicians/

Hatti and Hittite are not the same people. Heth is the Canaanite... which you call Phoenician. And his territory included Hebron, according to the Bible.

Joshua 1:4 "From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites"

It would seem that "the land of the Hittites" included Hurrian lands, at the time. Generally speaking, archaeology shows the Hatti in Asia Minor... which even surprised Sayce.

Now Phoenicia, even as a place name is not uncommon. Among other places that had the name Phoenix, there are mountains called Phoenix and Cadmus :)eek:) in Ionic Pelasgian Caria. Which may go a long way towards explaining the Egyptian use of the term.

There's also Ahiram, King of Byblos to consider, since Byblos is where the cedar came from to go to Egypt.

The Whore of Babylon is Israel... NOT Jezebel. Israel was prosperous unlike Judah and the Jews from Jerusalem considered them Hellenized and apostate.

You do know about the Decapolis, don't you?

Israel was prosperous because they told Judah to feed itself, and refused to keep paying for Solomon's harem and horses, Solomon's building projects and merchant ships. Under Solomon, meant forced labor; and his son was a chip off the old block. No wonder God gave the title to the land to Israel, and had Judah hold the crown until Jesus came.

Babylon is Jezebel. Once she gets cast onto the bed she becomes a harlot... the bed of harlotry is what Jesus so obviously means. Foods sacrificed to idols is the depths of satan... meaning doctrines, not literal food... just as it meant in Eden. Spiritual Adultery is meant in both places. It's made obvious in all 7 letters.

2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet [are] like fine brass;
2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last [to be] more than the first.
2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
2:24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

Why Asia Minor, on the lands of the aboriginal Ionians, aka Javan?
(Not to be confused with the Greeks, of course.)

Joshua is a mythic national hero. He had no vast armies and didn't drive out the Canaanites or destroy their cities.

Israel was prosperous because they had water, arable land and commercial trade. Solomon had been dead for hundreds of years. And, none of this has anything to do with Jezebel.

Solomon had no building projects or horses or merchant ships. Jerusalem was still tiny.. less than 40 acres with a population of a few thousand.

Your preachers are ignorant. There was no Arab league but a lot of the legions under Titus and Vespasion were Roman citizens from countries near Palestine.

Israel is the whore of Babylon riding the coat tails of the beast. Some Jews colluded with Rome and others had become Hellenized.

Seriously, you need to read Dion Cassius or Gibbon who quotes him. Hellenized is a ruse.

Yes there is an Arab league... it's called Under the Shadow of the Sword. These days, however, it's unlikely that Arabia survived the conquest of the Ottoman Turks. Caucasia fell to them 'a long long time ago...' and Europe is falling to them today. I think they call it the Gates of Vienna, where it was stopped..."was" being the operative term... about some Asian takeover of Europe. It's getting hard to keep track of them all. Their own races don't seem to know that their race wasn't born in the lands they currently occupy as an invading force. Poor Slavonia.

The woman isn't riding coat tails.
She's right on top, bold as brass, using whips and spurs.
Her name is the name of blasphemy.

What do you mean Arabia didn't survive the Ottoman Turks? The Turks had a couple of sleepy garrisons.. They really made no difference one way or another.

You apparently don't know anything about the Arab League. You ought to be embarrassed.

It's like I showed up at a book club with the wrong book. Let me know when you want to debate Scripture.
Because the fact is, that Sumer, Nuzi, Mari, Ebla, and Ugarit have the base of these writings. The only debate is: To whom was the Bible given?
I really need to go find a good book on Ebla.

Nobody was" given" the Bible. The Hebrews borrowed stories and myths from the cultures around them.

I know. Its ridiculous. Some of them still don't know that Israel is the Whore of Babylon.

God forbid they should read Ezekiel 23.

I agree that Israel is described in the exact same terms as Babylon.
But I can't help remembering Isaiah 23:15, and then think about that looong treck from the tomb to Nazareth between sunrise and sunset, on the same day (minus the time it would have taken for Mary to find John and Peter, &c). How do we know where Jerusalem really was? We don't know that any more than we know that Musri is supposed to be Egypt. Gotta tell ya, Palestine doesn't look like easy trekking, except maybe on the coast... neither point A nor point B, being there. Keep in mind that they were wearing sandals, probably didn't get much sleep, and it was hot. In fact, ANY of the treks the New Testament talks about don't quite seem possible. I'd believe Crete before I'd believe Palestine.

Do I win the conspiracy theorist's contest?

Jerusalem is small.. as is Palestine. Haven't you been there?

Nor do I care about the league. But to think that the Turks haven't been called by a whole lot of new names is a tad naive. In fact, go find a few pics to stare at, and let me know what you now think... I'll wait here. Meanwhile... Field of the Field Museum knew way back when, that a race-change was in the making.
There's a reason that Jesus never mentions not making idols. ... which people think means rip the pictures off the walls and kill ye olde Kodak Bic (steal a little bit of soul). Clearly in context, idols to replace God was symbolism over substance.
If the... current possessors... of the Middle East are being paid attention to, we can know that they destroy images which, coincidentally, don't look anything like the current possessors.

What are you talking about? Have been anywhere in the Middle East?

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
I know. Its ridiculous. Some of them still don't know that Israel is the Whore of Babylon.

More like some of them haven't gotten over the fact that the Obama Presidency came and went without anything apocalyptic happening.

Hiram was king of Byblos and Tyre.

Joshua is a mythic national hero. He had no vast armies and didn't drive out the Canaanites or destroy their cities.

Why do you think that Hiram of Tyre is not mythical?

Wouldn't it make more sense to think that Hiram of Byblos was actually Hiram of Tyre of the biblical chronicalists? Like I said, I need to find a good book on the Ebla Archives; because Ebla included a town on the Euphrates called Ursa'um... which the Hittites conquested. Sounds-like-thinking, from one language into another, isn't at all a sure bet, though, so I need to keep digging. Because Ebla is said to hold the names of many so-called Palestinian towns. Who knows where any of those towns mentioned by Ebla actually were?

And I'm still saying that 64 miles as the crow flies is a very long way to walk in, at best, 14 hours. 4.5 miles per hour is a 'very very brisk pace'. What are the odds that the Israelites could have kept up that pace for 14 solid hours? Unless they were all marthon runners in training, slim to none.

I don't know about you, but I believe John's testimony. Which means that the place of Jerusalem and/or the land of Israel are not what the biblicists and archaeologists say they are. And you can't blame Archaeology for it, since they go find what they went looking for... in the area where the biblicists told them to look. This idea is by no means new, because Musri has been questioned for over a hundred years... that I know of.
