Why is it a constant believer bashing around here?

Why? Are you looking for understanding of what is incomprehensible to you?
Are you missing something in your life and feel that you must make others like you?

I have heard religion blamed for everything but the people are individuals and think for themselves. I say dont blame the faith or the believers just take it out on the individuals.

Please explain to me why the constant attack on religion.

As a community of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, our aim is to provide a civil environment, informative, respectful and welcoming where people of diverse beliefs can discuss, compare and debate religion while engaging in fellowship with one another.

We're here to debate religion. If you're in favor, then you debate that position. If you're opposed, you debate that. If you don't want to debate religion with unbelievers, you might want to find a different forum.

What's with the constant attacks on unbelievers doing exactly what we're supposed to do?

I just wonder why there are so many threads about the same thing. I constantly see threads made to accuse and condemn people of faith and when a response is made it is discounted. A debate works both ways.

Maybe you could be more specific.

Look at the thread titles. Most are attack threads.

We're just trying to make Christians feel persecuted so that they can feel like real Christians. God put us non believers here with a purpose, we didn't ask for this.

And I believe that because it seems to be the theme around here.

Are they? Aren't you confusing questioning with attacks?
If you follow most threads they are pretty much a setup for the believer to fail.

Why the hell would want you to present evidence of God?

Who cares about Jesus being the son of God?

Look how many play out. There is really no need to ask some of these questions if you know what you accept as an answer unless you are truly looking for what others believe.

If one is looking for such then one need not tell the person replying to the thread they are wrong and attempt to destroy their faith.

when a response is made it is discounted. A debate works both ways.

Primarily because the responses of people such as you, Danmac and 301 ouncer are generally facepalm-inducing fails of logic and reality. Now, for example, if we take a person such as Badran, who argues their position with logic, taking reality into account, and not being a scientific ignoramus, their response is not 'discounted'.

I take it you don't like it when people trump you:sorry1: My responses are inline with my faith and you may notice I don't tote the line.

I have been asked many times for backup, presented said backup and then had it dismissed on a whim with no true counter. That my friend is not a debate it is a joke.

Because you think that God is supported by evidence, maybe? I can't remember how many people we've had come here trying to tell us how scientific evidence "proves" the Qur'an or the Genesis flood.

Who cares about Jesus being the son of God?
Are you talking about this thread?

You do realize that the OP is a devout Christian, right?

Orly?

Looking closely, I see more attacks on Atheists and we non-Abrahamics than anything attacking religion.
You call those attacks? Those are more like the meanderings of misguided souls that can't punch their way out of a wet paper bag.

Just look at all of the threads in the general section. People are starting threads not wishing for debate.

As to the Did Jesus say he was god. Looks like a debate to me.

The point of debate is to destroy the other side's point of view. If you don't like it, don't debate.

It depends on what you mean by "bashing". I'm guessing your definition of "bashing" includes saying God doesn't exist, comparing God to unicorns, and generally promoting atheism. But most people don't consider that "bashing".

Why? Are you looking for understanding of what is incomprehensible to you?

Wait, who are you talking to here, believers or non-believers? Because I think these questions applies at least as well to believers as to non-believers.

I have heard religion blamed for everything but the people are individuals and think for themselves.

Well, I have heard religion blamed, too, but only by a few, not the majority. And I'd hardly say most religious people (at least of the Abrahamic faiths) think for themselves when it comes to religion.

I say dont blame the faith or the believers just take it out on the individuals.

Don't blame the believers?

Please explain to me why the constant attack on religion.

It's called a debate forum. We debate topics that include religion, hence the title "Religious Forums". It's not attacking, but there are some like you who just want to see it that way, I guess.

I see. So, to you, any question that a believer obviously can't answer is considered an attack. You need to reconsider your definition of "attack".

I also love the irony of your signature.

Debate is different from discount and call names such a liar and the like. Debate is to reach an understanding and possibly persuade another to view things as you do.

Really? I don't think you are seeing the whole picture here.
