Transgenderism

In light of the scriptures I think it’s clear that “transgenderism” is a satanic attack upon God’s creation of male and female, human personhood, biological reality, and truth. A phenomenon especially dangerous to women and children. I’m interested in perspectives of other Christians.

“And because of the subjectivity of gender identity, Hasson said the transgender movement poses a dire threat to women in particular.

“Gender identity is a feeling,” she explained. “It’s completely subjective — can’t test for it, can’t prove it, it’s got to be declared. “

“There's decades of literature showing overwhelming probability in a gender dysphoric minor of underlying health problems of adverse childhood experiences, bad family dynamics and a way over-representation of autism spectrum dysphoria, and that these all predate the gender dysphoria,” Van Mol explained.

According to recent data, the number of minors in America receiving a diagnosis of gender dysphoria tripled from 2017 to 2021, with more than 42,000 receiving the diagnosis in 2021. On the social media platform TikTok, which is especially popular among younger people, the hashtag “trans” has logged 50.2 billion views, nearly doubling within the space of a year.”

“So instead of saying people should seek the truth, now people say you should ‘speak your truth,” he explained. “So if words have no relation to reality, then words like ‘male’ and ‘female’ don’t matter anymore.””

“Lahl echoed that sentiment, stating her conviction — and perhaps summing up the battle itself — that transgenderism isn’t simply a political or cultural attack but one that is satanic in its origins.

“I don't believe in transgenderism,” she said. “I think that’s a lie from the devil.””

This is from the NHS, and it matches the current medical consensus on gender identity and gender dysphoria:

What is gender identity?

Gender identity refers to our sense of who we are and how we see and describe ourselves.

Most people identify as "male" or "female". These are sometimes called "binary" identities.

But some people feel their gender identity is different from their biological sex.

For example, some people may have male genitals and facial hair but do not identify as a male or feel masculine.

Some may have female genitals and breasts but do not identify as a female or feel feminine.

Some people do not define themselves as having a "binary" identity. For them the concept of gender is not relevant to their identity.

They may use different terms, such as agender, gender diverse, gender non-conforming, to describe their identity. However, as a group, they are often called "non-binary".

Gender dysphoria and gender identity

Many people with gender dysphoria have a strong, lasting desire to live a life that "matches" or expresses their gender identity. They do this by changing the way they look and behave.

Some people with gender dysphoria, but not all, may want to use hormones and sometimes surgery to express their gender identity.

Gender dysphoria is not a mental illness, but some people may develop mental health problems because of gender dysphoria.

It is simply a medical issue that requires a specific set of treatments. Calling it "satanic" or weaving conspiracy theories around it is hyperbolic and extremely focused on ideology rather than medicine and science. It also seems to me that the Christian Post's judging of trans people in this overgeneralizing manner that overlooks medical evidence is starkly at odds with "judge not, lest ye be judged."

The Christian Post is not an authority on medicine or science any more than the NHS or WHO is an authority on the Bible and theology. The two are concerned with completely different domains and should be viewed as such if one wants to avoid misunderstanding and misrepresentation of scholarly knowledge.

As a Christian; is this a way to speak of and treat a fellow human being in emotional distress?

God will not judge you by the gender identity of another.

God will judge you by your treatment of others. Do you consider your attitude towards these individuals sufficiently humble in the eyes of your Lord? Or are you perhaps merely contributing to their torment and pain?

First, you are doing the exact same thing.
Despite the evidence that devils are not real and the theology (not even in the OT) was borrowed from an occupying nation, you just "feel" it's real

In the quotes she puts down speaking personal truths and seems to suggest we should stick to truths that can be established.
Then she says she thinks transgenderism is from a fictional demon from an underworld who creeps around humanity and tries to enact lies into the populace. Great, good point.

She points out some cases may be from media exposure and are not genuine but fails to acknowledge that some people are actually going to feel they are in the wrong sex because it's true and they will never change.

If Satan is in this religion, as well as angels, these divine beings make Christianity henotheism rather than monotheism. Satan was an Angel of Yahweh and Son of Yahweh in the OT.

The ancients would have no clue what d.n.a. and hormones are, and those are the driving force in one's sexuality.

This is yet another case where I just don't get fundamentalists. Yeah, I realize that fundamentalists in the US have always hated on one group or another, including persecuting them when fundamentalists had the power to do so (e.g., Native Americans, blacks, Jews, Catholics, Muslims, gays, S. American immigrants), but what I don't get is how they never seem to learn a damn thing from it.

For example, history now looks back on white evangelical hate and persecution of blacks as a terrible, embarrassing time in US history and views the Christians who did it as horrible people. The same is happening today with their treatment of gays....the overall public is very supportive of civil rights protections for gays and hatred of gay people is not socially acceptable.

You'd think todays' fundamentalists would acknowledge that history and be a bit more reluctant to start hating on yet another group, lest the same pattern repeat itself. But nope, the fundamentalist Christians just can't seem to help themselves and are now engaged in a very overt hate campaign against trans folks (the Christian Post is definitely a bigoted hate site that's rather obsessed with trans people). So I guess we'll do this again, and yet again history will not be kind to fundamentalist Christians.

They never seem to learn.

Being fundamentalists, they won't stray from what they think the fundamentals of their religion are. If there are errors, society has made them, not their religion. Most won't learn. Thankfully some do and they leave that form of the religion for a more Christ-like form. The rest live with blinders on.

They never seem to learn.
A part of it is their theology that revolves around an eternally static god who never changes. The ways a men change, their god does not.
Another part is following the example left by their messiah. With his recorded behaviors towards those he disapproves of ranging from dickish (calling out people to condemnand threaten them), violent (the merchants and bankers at the Temple) and just bizarre and inappropriate (cursing the fig tree).

that transgenderism isn’t simply a political or cultural attack but one that is satanic in its origins.
When I finally, actually get around to do something worthy of all the hate and accusations and BS aimed at me (people have often loved assuming my guilt and placing when I done nothing) there's a good chance this world will be destroyed as a lake of blood is created next to Mt Entrails.
