Trends in Porn Viewing

You may find this article informative:

"Sex trafficking is the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for the purpose of a commercial sex act which involves force, fraud, or coercion, or in which the person involved has not attained 18 years of age. The specific forms of exploitative activity from which sex trafficking generates enormous profits are the prostitution of women and children and the filming of those acts of prostitution — i.e. pornography. This modern form of involuntary servitude involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to compel a person to perform a commercial sex act — a sex act for which anything of value is exchanged.

There are strong links between pornography and sex trafficking."

First of all, one should always be wary of religion based organizations speaking out about social issues, no matter what the issue or religion may be.
Secondly, as for the link between pornography and sex trafficking, there's doubt there is one, to some extent. The issue is, to what extent? The National Center on Sexual Exploitation, formerly Morality in Media, would have the reader believe it's significant, although it fails to produce any evidence. In fact, even its supporting links no longer function. In the mean time one is left to read its inane statements, all of which are presented as unqualified fact. It's a religious right web site aimed at the gullible, and isn't worth the time it takes to read its opening paragraph.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

You know, this got me thinking about the customers themselves who aquire and enjoy porn that the adult industry and amateur submissions depends on

I'd say most end users themselves obtaining porn, originate from say any particular religious enviroments that happen to artifically supresses a person's natural and instinctive urge for erotic pleasure and procreation because of "social issues".

Where do you get the 99.9% statistic? Are you taking into account other factors, such as the "adults who are consenting" may be in circumstances where they feel they have no other choice or escape?

Many amateur porn actors are somehow financially pressured into filming themselves ****ing. Some get off on the knowledge of others watching them partake in these acts, and post videos for that reason, but you are right, many are under inescapable financial pressure. But is this somehow the fault of porn? No. This is the fault of our bull**** capitalist economy. Porn is their escape from this, and those who create a demand for it are actually helping the actors escape their problems.

Cashiers, for example, aren't working behind a register due to their burning passion for counting money at minimum wage. They are doing their job for the exact same reason that those who are in porn are. They need something to live off of. The only difference between these two scenarios is that one has been morally charged and the other is seen as a commonplace, mundane task. At their core, they are based in the same thing.

If people are having sex, regardless of if it's highly satisfactory or disafactory, is no indication or anything on if they will have impulses or desires to watch porn. Sometimes even couples watch it together.

Yep, didn't even really look at porn until I met my SO who loves it, now we run a joint tumblr blog.
