Trump's lawyers are claiming anything that he does that is illegal is an official act, even if it isn't an official act. They get to set the rules so they can be above the law. It doesn't matter that Trump insiders are discussing the criminal elements of their acts, Trump gets off because he was president. It doesn't matter that the conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election was personal for Trump, the lawyers are claiming it was an official act because Trump was doing it as president.

The same as with the documents case, they are saying documents that belong to the USA are personal. How? Because trump says so. That is how these people think. There are no lucid definitions of anything so that doubt and confusion can be argued for.

One particular interesting point asked by the justices about was can Obama be tried for murder because of his drone strikes that went wrong and killed civilians or is he immune to charges.

Yeah, that has been discussed, along with Truman ordering the dropping of atomic bombs. Both are considered war decisions and fall under offical acts by the president on behalf of security. That innocent people were killed begs two questions: did the innocent people know they were around wanted criminals or not?

Whether it's those who worked with Trump while doing unethical and/or corrupt acts, or terrorists, they risk being held accountable by the law. The best approach: don't be a criminal. Don't hang out with criminals.

So much for your speculation that Biden would not debate Trump. He already did that back when Trump showed up while infected with COVID and wouldn't stop yapping while it was Biden's turn to talk. Biden finally had to turn to him and shout "Will you shut up?" I doubt that Trump will agree to debate him again, but March is way too early to be committing to debates. Right now, debate challenges from Trump are all just the usual smack talk from Trump, but he wants the campaign to go into full swing right away in the hopes that it will pause all of his criminal trials.
