Bush did some similar things during his administration. The difference is Trump is doing it day one and it's more of a blanket gag order. It is concerning.

Well, he knows what he is doing. Monsanto/ George Soros has created a Genetically modified plant that produces less green-house gases than the conventional plant. And so they are trying to push this issue about the sky is falling in order to put their product out into the market. The world is shifting underneath us, but there is nothing nobody can do about that. It is just a natural process.

Frightening.

I'm really not sure why an agency that producing scientific evidence and projections of future timelines must be so feared and distrusted.

Why fear information? If you need a massive global conspiracy as a premise for your beliefs, you do not have a credible opinion.

For you doubters, you know that our own military uses climate change projections to assess threats and determine responses to destabilization, right?

They changed the meaning of the word to add credibility to "climate change". I'm sure the military only uses "Climate Change" in an alternate meaning, such as weather patterns.

"The Trump administration’s decision to stop Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officials and other government staff from speaking out publicly has prompted the country’s leading scientific organisation to warn against “censorship and intimidation”.

The ban includes the issuing of press releases, blogs, messages on Twitter and Facebook posts, according to information leaked to several media organisations. All media requests must be “screened” by the administration.

The decision came after the new administration ordered a “temporary suspension” of grants to the EPA, stopping new business activity.

“As the [American Association for the Advancement of Science] Council stated in 2006: Censorship, intimidation, or other restriction on the freedom of scientists employed or funded by governmental organisations to communicate their unclassified scientific findings and assessments not only to each other but also to policymakers and to the public is inimical to the advance of science and its appropriate application in the policy domain."

Yeah sure. Modern American science, despite that climate change is recognized by science institutions world over.
The real propaganda battle is silencing news about it to bolster ties with oil and gas industries, and the increasingly ridiculous climate deniers.

I think I disagree with everything written here, and yet still, I rejoice at the news presented in this thread. Even while the linked article is laced with said propaganda.
