The scientific community having a virtual consensus on climate change is a fact. Alex Jones claiming that climate change is a hoax is not.
I agree with this. Though what does this have to do with article linked in OP?

So, you think that political censorship for partisan reasons is funny, do ya. Well, some of us really don't think this is funny at all as this is a tactic used by totalitarian regimes who prefer using brainwashing techniques over freedom of information.
Sing it! Personally, I see this as a temporary measure whilst Trump and Co. take chainsaws to the bureaucratic infrastructure thereby removing the need for such rules. Do you really let soon to be ex-employees say whatever they want in a public forum with impunity? Would you?So, you think that political censorship for partisan reasons is funny, do ya. "American science"? The ****?Given my understanding of modern American science, and the propaganda battles being waged, I rejoice at this news.
Even "temporary" should be viewed as a threat when it comes to having a democracy.I see this as a temporary measure whilst Trump and Co. take chainsaws to the bureaucratic infrastructure thereby removing the need for such rules.
As long as it doesn't pose a threat to national security, yes. The free exchange of information is literally vital to the functioning of a democracy.Do you really let soon to be ex-employees say whatever they want in a public forum with impunity? Would you?
Exactly, and when viewed in the context of history, it is literally vital to democracy. It is quite arguably a right of US citizens to have unfettered access to unclassified information generated through scientific research funded by taxpayers. Trump is treating the government as if it were his private fief. The government belongs to the citizens as a whole, not to Trump alone.
I think I disagree with everything written here, and yet still, I rejoice at the news presented in this thread. Even while the linked article is laced with said propaganda.
What does your post that I replied to have to do with the article linked in the OP?I agree with this. Though what does this have to do with article linked in OP?
It falls into the same category as "alternative facts.""American science"? The ****?
They changed the meaning of the word to add credibility to "climate change". I'm sure the military only uses "Climate Change" in an alternate meaning, such as weather patterns.
I'm waiting for him to start talking about 'Jewish Physics' next.It falls into the same category as "alternative facts."
You want me to comment on eight years of his presidency in a post. He was the most diplomatic president ever. Anything in any speech he wrote was from the heart. He held no grudges and genuinely tried to be the best and kept himself from becoming corrupt. He also kept things running. He did not return fire against racist remarks against himself and worked to smooth racial tensions. He overcame eight years of accusations of tyranny without becoming tyrannical. He successfully navigated through eight years of a congress owned by the opposing party and came out smelling like a rose. He did it all without being a US citizen, too. Not bad!Well now.......
Let me see.....
And what did you think of President Obama?
Please refresh my memory.
Actually no.
One example where the military uses climate change data is projecting how large the Bering Straight's going to get.
They're using they information to understand how many extra naval vessels they need to cover territory against potential Russian incursions.
In fact, if you have business interests in Alaska, you're pouring over climate change data . . . Their coast is feeling it at a faster rate than anywhere else in the US, for now.
Look it up.
No problem, but prove to me it's man made global warming and not a natural pattern. They say there was an ice age right?
This is good. You've shifted your stance. I'd rather have a conversation about data regarding our potential impact, instead of having to prove t'a happening.
You're growing.
The next step: Learn everything you can about CFCs and the ozone layer. This was a terrible problem in the 70s and 80s, and a single government ban stopped it.
After that, we'll look at data.
Government cover up. They probably burned a hole in the ozone layer with HAARP testing. Ever read about HAARP? Yes pollution was bad in the 70's when America was an industrial nation, almost as bad as China today. But it did not cause the Earth to exit the ice age.
