So you want to impeach Trump already? There are actual real things against Trump. He couldn't even at the very least attempt to be as trustworthy as Nixon. Has done worse as far as his own emails and condoned the type of espionage that Nixon could even dream of doing.I couldn’t care less who is doing the whining so long as the vote isn’t overturned. It is time to stop the inmates from running the asylum.
PSH! I had a hand of five aces! You were dead in the water. And I could'a won that poker game if only threes were wild instead of Jokers.
Recount!PSH! I had a hand of five aces! You were dead in the water.
You lost! Accept the results!!Recount!
OK.You lost! Accept the results!!
I start to come around and say "I will give him a chance" when suddenly...
YOU WON THE @#$% ELECTION BRUH! Why are you still mad and for what?! You preach unity and promote division! What is the matter with you?
That's fair. I honestly don't expect anything to come out from this recount.More of a stab at the media in my opinion with that particular message. Meaning, it's only feasible to be suspicious of fraud in select states and not others. Not a matter of winning or losing.
Yes lawyers make money off recounts, who cares, that's why it's better if they are off donations rather than tax payer dollars.
That's not something that politicians are all that concerned about.True, I do have to imagine though that tax payer dollars will still be at work and involved in the recount.
Donald Trump compared the US election to Brexit and he was right.
The left leaning elite establishment in the UK are desperately trying everything they can think of to overturn our referendum and the democracy that went against them.
But the media isn't asking for the recounts. THAT'S the news. The Donald wants a recount in certain states? Kewl. Follow the rules like the Green Party did.More of a stab at the media
You're right because Trump doesn't understand how democracy works either here in the UK or there in the US.
I'll never understand the sheer level of doublethink Brexiteers need to maintain in order to hold these two positions at the same time:
"Scotland needs to shut up and respect the result and not try to delay it because Parliament is sovereign."
"Why the **** should MPs get a vote on the result of a legally non-binding referendum? **** them, we voted and they have to abide by our wishes! We want Brexit NOW!"
Seriously. That's what Brexiteers sound like.
The elite establishment don’t understand democracy or they wouldn’t have given us an EU referendum.
They only did it because they thought they could win. When they didn’t win, they didn’t like democracy any more.
Well the Tories did get in on only 37% of the vote so their win is as about as democratic as Trump's.
The first sentence: that's probably true. The second sentence: I actually agree but not necessarily in the case of Brexit. The referendum result only said people wanted to leave the EU; it didn't mandate a deadline or procedures for doing so - mostly because the Brexit campaign didn't have a ****ing clue as to how they'd proceed in the event of winning. The thing you're forgetting is in England & Wales the ultimate democratic say resides with Parliament, not the people. That's a peculiarly English thing though. Here's a link which references the ruling which upheld this particular doctrine. So it doesn't matter how many referenda return a result for Brexit; Parliament can legally override that every time.
You're also forgetting that the UK actually stopped being a functioning democracy at Parliamentary level some time ago.
The "recount" is deceptively named. It's actually only part of a systems diagnostic analyzing multiple aspects of the American elections system -- hardware, demographics, logistics, applications, &c.That's fair. I honestly don't expect anything to come out from this recount.
