We should remember that business has a vested interest in seeing Trump succeed whereas they can also receive tax breaks. So, if they're receiving tax breaks, I wonder who is going to have to make up that difference? Remember, the reality is that a "tax break" is in reality a tax shift.

I get what your saying but I have to weigh in the idea that he's preserving jobs in the US. This is what middle America wanted and I'm glad this is happening.

I'm sorry but I don't believe that. Why wouldn't the business keep the price the same and pocket the difference? If you have a specific example of a company actively lowering their prices due to tax break, id like to see it.

Obviously you've never been in business (no offense). Suppose it cost everyone less to produce their service in my-or any-business area and I decide to pocket the difference. How long do you think it will take my competitor to lower his price and run me out of business? This actually happened in the airline industry a few years back. Congress forgot to pass some fee imposed on the airlines and one airline lowered their fee immediately to reflect this savings. By that afternoon every airline in the US had lowered their fares to compete. Most businesses operate on very slim margins so they look for any edge possible.

But that also applies to the individual who also pays taxes, so one can play that either way. If you want to eliminate taxes on business, then we well know who'll end up paying, which also cuts into people's spending ability.

So, when GE pays no taxes, how do you feel about having your tax rate substantially increased so they and many other companies get a free ride or have their taxes sharply reduced? And shouldn't the companies be responsible for public services they use?

So, don't ever let us hear you complain about having to pay higher personal taxes because this is what in essence you're proposing.

Why do you think there's such an outcry to abolish the IRS and establish a fair or flat tax? And it seems you are still holding on the false belief that any corporations pays taxes. If there were no taxes on businesses then the price of goods and services will fall to reflect those savings. You spending dollar will go farther thus creating more demands which will create more jobs which will generate more tax dollars for Uncle Sam (forgive the run on sentence). You would probably realize a tax savings.

There was no misinterpretation of what he said... I've heard the statements in context and there is no doubt he's a bigot. I don't need any media source to interpret his desire to exclude ALL Muslims from entering the US. His diatribe about how Mexicans are rapists and murderers with only a "few" good ones was just as appalling. Why do you think the White Supremacists, Neo-Nazis and the KKK endorsed him? That was no accident that he pandered to them and to our collective fears. Damn, I should have added "Fear Monger" to that list as well. I forgot about that.
