Trump is running on a joke. Are people really going to vote for him?

So it seems.
But many people look at him critically, without doing the same to the others.
That's why there are such extreme diverse views on the candidates.

People have already voted for him in primaries around the country. He's not going away anytime soon.

I keep complaining about his moral and social depravity such as his past connections to the mafia, and the many, many hateful comments he's made.

Words and actions mean something.

Still, most of his supporters will not turn back around and start over.

Fortunately, I don't know anyone who's voting for him.

Don't doubt the number of racist, politically ignorant white people whom think a failed business (con) man, that doesn't play by the rules, is president material.
I say it's a fault in education, both political and fundamental.

I wish I could doubt it. But I don't see how he could have come anywhere near his current situation if there were an actual dearth of people willing to vote for him.

As a half-Asian/half-White guy with a college degree, you must think I'm an exception to the rule as a Trump supporter. The funny thing is that an unusually large number of Trump supporters I've encountered are educated, peaceful, and--shock alert--not racist.

Teflon Don is gonna win, so all the insults are futile.

Unfortunately, I think that they are.
Do you think that we've lost our standing in the world?
Well, get ready for a real ****-storm of idiocy that will take us farther down that road and possibly off of a cliff.

Of course, nationalists don't see this as a problem.
Foreigners make a convenient scapegoat, and they otherwise revel in his "political-incorrectness".

I am all for straight talk. I don't care if you are polite, but I do care whether or not a candidate has any substance at all.

This is not an issue for many Trump supporters.
I've had multiple occasions where different fans of his have informed me that he's a real "tough guy" and "speaks his mind" and that these are sufficient reasons to support him.

It makes no sense to me, because not only do I find these reasons lacking, but I disagree that he is "tough". His skin seems paper-thin.
Also, I have met several homeless people during my time volunteering over the years who were out of touch with reality and would say disturbing things.
They speak their minds though.

When the Dems see who is their likely candidate, the only thing they can do is insult Trump & his fans.
This is why there are so many made up quotes attributed to him, & histrionic comparisons to Hitler.
To those who wonder how on Earth anyone can vote for Trump.....bear in mind that his opposition
is pretty frightening too.

Btw, since I really don't like any of the leaders enuf to vote for them,
I feel no need to sanitize or avoid any unsettling faults.
I'll admit that Bernie has a slight edge. Some bias will seep out.

You think Trump is a failed business man?

Was your degree in politics? i don't see how that is relevant.
Explain to me how he is a good pick.

Explain off the following about him.
-His constant lying and positional 180s
-His racial profiling and avocation of violence
-His want to violate human rights and treaty's our country has signed
-His disastrous health care plan

I don't want to give you too much so just answer those, we can flip through the next 30 or so in due time.

Also, fyi, someone can be smart and intelligent yet--shock alert--still ignorant.
I also was implying that he had a lot of white racists on his side, not that all of his voters are white and racist.

the less of any other evil

I just posted elsewhere.....a business man in office...
better than the politicians and politically correct we have suffered
Now that you mention it.......his being a non-lawyer who isn't a career politician is appealing.
It's not enuf to make me want to vote for him, but it's a positive.

I just don't care about issues. I have a secret desire to see America crash and burn. Maybe it's a sexual fantasy of mine? I can't say; I'm not the self-analytical type.

But Trump 2016.

So, why is nationalistic racism better than political correctness? I am not saying this to insult, or anything of the sort. I have just been watching Trump with horrified fascination.

The idea of an outsider (to the establishment at least) is very appealing to me, so I can understand the appeal of that idea.
However, I am very much against wealth being a requirement to run for office. This, coupled with the fact that I have no more trust for big business than I do for government entities and my pro-egalitarian upbringing means that he embodies all that I despise.

I want big money out of politics, I don't want it to put on a suit and a bad hairpiece and run for Presidential office.
