Trump is running on a joke. Are people really going to vote for him?

Are people really going to vote for him?

Better to think of it another way: People are going to vote for him based on what he is perceived not to be - an establishment politician.

Are people going to vote against an establishment politician like Hillary? of course. When people are looking for the 'magic' of Trump they are looking at the wrong thing, it is about what he is not, rather than what he is. It's not very difficult to work out why people would vote for anything other than 'business as usual'. Trump happens to be in the right place at the right time.

Hillary probably only has a chance to win against Trump, and Trump probably only has a chance against Hillary. Both sides are going to choose the least popular candidate they possibly could. It's probably going to come down to who is the least unpopular, and they are both very unpopular in general.

You think Trump is a failed business man?
Yup.

As a half-Asian/half-White guy with a college degree, you must think I'm an exception to the rule as a Trump supporter. The funny thing is that an unusually large number of Trump supporters I've encountered are educated, peaceful, and--shock alert--not racist.
If we believe what you've written on RF then you think racism is natural. Are you saying you are an exception in that...?

But you have admitted to being racist. I am not surprised you are voting for Trump.

Sadly yes, My one hope it that the quiet people the moderates vote in mass to defeat him and the democrats turn the map blue. This will finally force the Republicans to change. Unlikely but the dream that keeps me going.

Isn't one of the indicators of insanity doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result? So what is it then when one sees someone failing at doing the same thing over and over and still thinking they will suddenly succeed? Trump has driven his businesses into the ground time and time again and is touting his "success" as a businessman and how he could financially do wonders for our country. The only wonder he will succeed at is seeing just how low we can actually fall. Not only economically and financially, but in pretty much every other aspect. Foreign affairs? We will be hated and unable to do anything productive. Social betterment programs for our own citizenry? Hacked to pieces. Trump would ruin us.

That a privileged, unwise, infantile, racist con man with poor impulse control will somehow be a good choice for POTUS.

He is the perfect choice for the unprivileged, unwise, infantile, racist, impulsive, untrustworthy population.

I get what you are saying, but this is no joke.
Trump is a perfect representative of what we have become.
He knows it and so do the rest of the politicians that are rallying behind him.

Maybe you're being a little one-sided:
