Trump Plan for Ideological Screening of Immigrants

Sissy in need of help.
You offering?
Good self appraisal.
But the errata bit needs work.

Here's a list of long standing immigration restrictions for the US:

- carriers of communicable diseases
- people with dangerous mental conditions
- the unvaccinated
- criminals
- sex workers

- spies
- revolutionaries
- conspirators
- terrorists
- totalitarians
- war criminals
- welfare candidates
- religious freedom deniers
- polygamists
- tax dodgers

So while I hate trump, and he's probably being his normal horribleness (the link was broken), I will say that these days it seems like a lot of people have forgotten the spirit of immigration. A country is not obligated to accept immigrants. Countries get to decide who to let in and that decision has traditionally been made based on whether a candidate will enrich the host country or not.
Add to the list....
Must like Christianity.
Excerpted...
Speaking to Republican voters in Derry, New Hampshire, on Monday, former President Donald Trump promised “strong ideological screening” of all immigrants if he’s elected president again—and said he’d turn away those who “don’t like our religion.” “We don’t want you in our country,” he said.

Gawd, Trump would never let me immigrate.

Remember that interview when he was asked what verses of the Bible he likes? He clearly has never read it, sigh.
I don't fault him for that.
The Bible is TLTR, & inscrutable, being a
translation of a translation of the ranting
of ancient ignant ferrin goatherds.

I agree with your assessment of the book, but I fault him for lying about it.
It's the kind of lie that feeds his base,
but it hurts no one. This is unlike some
worse lies, eg, "They're eating the pets!",
which inspire fear, hatred, & violence.

So you decided to jump the gun?
The only thing I can tell the nervous folks is - fight at the appropriate time. There will be opportunities to fight if you disagree with something. Going berserk here before Trump assumes the presidency is not healthy.
Oh yes, fight! That's all we have left. But I'm beginning to feel better about our chances now, especially after Trump appointed (or says he will) a vaccine denier to HHS!
