It appears Trump's posting has produced results. Mexico's President has agreed to stop the migration of illegal immigrants into the United States and work to stop drug smuggling.

There's a lot of information about how badly we understand our system of government. A Majority of Americans Can’t Recall Most First Amendment Rights | The Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania Add to that ignorance about how a capitalist system works and there's no reason to believe that this was any different for this election.

But if I'm wrong, I'd be interested in a decent poll showing my error.

No, she disagrees with actually totally closing the border. But Trump didn't ever say to completely close the border. He said effectively closing the border to illegal immigrants, not to legal activities. She will "attend to" (stop) the illegal immigrant caravans crossing the border and will work with the U.S. on the drugs. Everything Trump demanded. Her "disagree" is sophistry, semantics, spin and attempted face saving. She has to posture so she doesn't look like a door mat. She will stop the illegal immigrants from crossing the border. That isn't allowing an open border. It is an effectively CLOSED border. Whether she will admit it or not.

Trump isn't even President yet. He posted on social media, and the Mexican President gave him all he asked for.Trump has gotten all he asked for. If it makes Presidente Sheinbaum feel better she can call it whatever she wants. That doesn't change the facts. She is still folding like a cheap suit. And if you want to go along with her attempting "sour grapes" in order to stay in denial, that's on you. Trump won this one, "bigly".

The whole oddball thing about his is that who can stop anyone who enetrs the USA illegally? I'm not sure that migrants are rquired to enter at specific points of entry, but I am aware that migrants can cross anywhere, encounter boder control, and then ask for asylum and it is essentially legal. These people are then part of the immigration system with due process. "Illegals" would be anyone who has entered with the intent to not ask for asylum, I guess.

So I guess the president of Mexico doesn't need to stop the migrants wanting asylum, which makes them "legals".

You ignored my point. It's useless to try to discuss something with someone who won't respond to the post I made but just repeats his point. But do you believe that Americans in general really know what is in the Constitution, the First Amendment and so forth along with being economically educated so they can make informed decisions about who to vote for? Apparently, you didn't notice the gradual decline, and also you fail to mention the simple fact that our inflation rate is lower than basically all the western democracies. And if inflation truly was of your concern, then you should be stressed with Trump's
stating he will significantly raise tariffs.

Even when(if) those tariffs raise prices, most if not all will still be cheaper than those made in the US.
It won't be enough to get people to buy American but if prices rise due to the tariffs, collected sales tax will rise with it.
