Trump.. The greatest president America ever had

No, just look at how Bidenomics is playing out.
Yeah, you need to explain what Bidenomics are because there is right wing disinformation out there that certain members think is news.

Right wing news certainly won't explian that inflation in the USA has dropped quickly and is lower than the inflation rates in other first world nations. This is largely a result of Biden's signing of new legislation.

"During August 2022, Biden signed into law the CHIPS and Science Act and Inflation Reduction Act."

Yes, pretty much a continuation of Reaganomics - whore yourself out to corporations as a politician and help ultra rich people become even more rich by funneling more of the nation's wealth up top, while the cost of living is skyrocketing around the country and more people are falling into poverty all the time. Wonderful economic times! For Bill Gates, sure!
First, this has happened all over the world, not just the USA. Second, the inflation in the USA was largely corporation taking advantage of the Covid subsidies as citizens had more money and corporations exploited this to raise prices, thus more profits. Redistribution of wealth, and the rich got richer. This has carried on and the inflation has caused problems for those whose income hasn't increased like inflation. Biden's policies has worked to push back on inflation, and has worked as my previous link explains. Corporations won't be motivated to lower prices until there is a recession, and that is bad for the whole economy. Corporations always seek ways to make more profit from a society that has a finite amount of money, and economic stability relies on a certain balance that isn't pushed too far. As we know corporations care about profits, not people, not society. The government often acts to help keep corporations within the balance of a stable economy, and Biden is doing that.

The left bristles at any thought that Reagan did anything
good, so of course they deny his ending the cold war.
The Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson era. Politics would never be the same, and Reagan with his evil Trickle Down lies. I am not surprised, and we on the right did love him both for his heroism and his lies both. And the man had an intelligence and charisma that could melt anyone. Nobody is perfect, and you could do worse than put a smart person into office. As we have seen.

But he did indeed foster that result. It wasn't so much
due to spending the Soviets into the ground when they
tried to keep up militarily. He did an about face on the
evil empire view to become friendly towards Russia, &
exploiting Gorbachev's receptivity to peace.
Yes. He played a part. I was kid though, so don't ask me anything.

How does one measure the greatness of a U.S. President? What standard should we use?
I would offer that the standard is the president's oath of office. If a president fulfills that oath perfectly, he is the perfect president. If he ignores, fumbles, subdivides or disdains his oath, he becomes increasingly worse. The oath is a great standard.

Of course, this assumes that the oath of office itself points to obligations that are harmonious with proper government.

Hmm, I dont know if Trump is the greatest President ever, but he did accomplish some significant things:
  1. Didn't start a new war. Yes, this is an accomplishment.
  2. Secured the border. Successfully implemented the Remain in Mexico policy
  3. reduced bloodshed in Afghanistan and had path to proper withdrawal for U.S.
  4. kept Russian aggression in check
  5. improved Serbia-Kosovo Relations
  6. Abraham Accords in the Middle East
  7. negotiated better trade agreements with China, with Mexico, with Canada.
  8. had North Korea and South Korea on a path to peace
  9. led U.S. to economic prosperity and energy independence, he was very happy to let people know about those record economic statistics including record employment for minorities
  10. Criminal Justice Reform for Black People
  11. lowered taxes for everyone
  12. rebuilt U.S. military to be strong
  13. lowered carbon emissions from the U.S.
  14. early Covid lockdown on travel to and from China (when people, including Fauci, were saying not to)
  15. Fast tracked Covid vaccinations
There's actually a lot Trump accomplished during his Presidency and I can't list it all, but that said, there's some impressive competition for greatest President. Washington, Lincoln, and Reagan for starters. If Trump had had a second consecutive term, he'd have a decent shot at making top ten.
I wonder if any President has lost as much money out of pocket as Trump lost for being President. Most Presidents gain personal wealth from their Presidency (millions of dollars). Trump's networth dropped by about $700 million during his time as President. IMO, one of his greatest accomplishments might be: not being bought. Trump is simply not in the business of selling the U.S. to the highest bidder.

So, continually lying and trying to overthrow the election is all fine & dandy with you? So, his constant hate speech is all fine & dandy with you? I thought you believe in Jesus, who condemned hatred and lying?

This is pretty enlightening:

As with any other controversial, high profile figure, his opponents tend to ignore or downplay his accomplishments, his advocates tend to ignore or. downplay as mistakes.

I think it's going to be quite a while (possibly generations :p)before most people are going to be able to assess his administration objectively.
