I would be very interested in finding any available statistics on election violence -- and in particular the political affiliation of the perpetrators and victims, on a state-by-state basis. I haven't found anything I think is really of great analytical value, but if any other member does, I'd be grateful for a link.

When donning his MAGA hat after voting. <snark>This is an outrage! Trump has never called for violence!<snark>

The telling thing is that you don't hear any MAGA folks speaking against this violence. I guess we shouldn't expect that given the fact they think Jan 6 was some kind of love fest.
He was told to remove his make America great again hat , he didn't like it , I don't think the left likes it when people wear the opposition so they so they want to force people to remove things like the cancel culture freaks they are.

He was just wearing a hat. And truth be told the Democrats started all of this.

Is there a law that you can't wear political attire at a polling place?

Yup, it was just a hat. Easy to take off. The guy should have honored the rules and done what was asked. Instead he had to escalate the situation to violence.

Get ready decent citizens, MAGAs are angry and unwilling to follow the rules. And they will get violent.

Yes there most definitely is. Political signs, buttons hats etc are not to be worn within 100 ft. of polling places in your lovely state and similar laws exist in most if not all states.

This is literally true, since most of us fill out our ballots in the privacy of our homes. I think that there may be a physical location somewhere where people might be able to go to vote, but I don't know where. You probably don't want to deliver it to a drop box or a post office in the nude, however.
OK, you can wear your horned buffalo hat and shaman regalia. I just might wear my navy blue cat lady hat.
Here's what you can't do at the polling places or drop boxes in Washington State:

This year for the first time ever I opened my front door and put my ballot in my mail box. I would usually take it to a drop box. So I was a bit worried and checked a couple of days later and they had received my ballot.

If I was careful I could probably have put it in the box nekkid, but my mind was too reasonable that day. I was fully clothed, though if I did it the other way my neighbors would have only have seen an arm.

Don't tempt me!!

Yes. In most states wearing political attire is illegal when one goes to public polls. It is considered campaigning at the voting sites and both sides are prevented from doing so.

I have heard stories over the years of various people being refused the ability to vote on both sides, until they covered up their support for one side or the other.

Does that include wearing the American flag?

I wonder if a person could go dressed like DJ Trump, with an extra long tie, a goofy wig, and orange makeup.

The American flag does not belong to either party. There should be no problem with that. Arguably the Democrats deserve to call the flag their own more than Republicans do right now.
I very much doubt that.

Jon Stewart has pointed out that Republicans are fond of donning clothing, complete with tricorn hats to mimic 18th century dress in public demonstrations, but they wear the wrong color coats. The color for their coats would be more honest if it were red, given their desire for living in a country where a president has the powers of a monarch. Of course, that isn't a totally fair picture of what Republicans want. They want checks on the power of office holders like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, but not those like Donald Trump. Trump is their ideal of a monarch.

I'm sure snuff boxes, extended cigarette holders, and hand handkerchiefs will come back in style along with the face powder and those fashionable wigs!

That raises the question where does,a,person get,a tie that long? He must have a thirty inch neck size, call it another four inches for the knot, then add up the lengths of the two loose ends and you have at least eighty inches and probably more likely ninety.
