There are compelling reasons to vote for either one:
Trump....cuz he's refreshingly candid.
Hillary....cuz there's a special place in Hell for women who don't vote for her.

Since I neither fear Hell, nor am I a woman (Really!), that leaves Trump.

Lot's of people say this, you have said it multiple times, and I still don't know what it means. Do you mean candid in the sense of "truthful"? Or is there some other definition of "candid" that I am not picking up on?

Tis sarchasm about criticism of people's reasons for preferring their candidate.
(Candor & honesty are not quite the same.)

As for me, candor is fun & indeed refreshing, but it doesn't even factor into my choice.

So I guess it is just a matter of personal taste whether you find his candor "fun and refreshing" or hateful and disgusting. Kind of like talking a nice cool shower in a spray of human effluence.

For me, the typical election campaigns are highly scripted pandering & demonization.
Unscripted pandering & demonization is better.
(I never said it was best.)

As I said in another thread. Like it or not, Donald Trump will be the 45th president of the United States. He is a master Chaos Magickian, whether he realizes it or not, and against his will no creature of the media or political world may stand.

One key to Obama's election was that he had no record of failure.
That he had no accomplishments either is of less significance.
Romney was vulnerable because he made business decisions which could be spun as anti-labor.
To have done nothing, but to make inspiring promises is to be invulnerable.

hmm, that's a good point which had not occurred to me.

We all say, and believe?, that we don't like negative attacks, but the results of those attacks say differently. It's more productive to focus on the others negatives than your own positives.. So no history, no problem.

I wonder if many Dems are so convinced that The Hildabeast will beat The Donald, that
if he wins, there'll be rampant conspiracy theories, & protests of another stolen election?
This might be more palatable than facing the shortcomings of their own candidate.

I make no predictions though.
Reality is too complicated & chaotic.

The bad thing about instability, large swings, you only need one socialist government getting in to destroy everything almost instantly, it's happened several times before to great and prosperous countries

But Trump is not his own creation. He was born filthy rich and learned how to manipulate the media.
The USA media might find him irresistible, but on the global stage he is just another spoiled rich kid. About as well credentialed for world leadership as Justin Beiber. Less so than Oprah Winfrey or Bono.
