Trump's Complete Failure as a Business Man

It is illegal for the NYT to publish Trump's tax returns. But will anyone from the Left wing bias paper who's stockholders include George Soros? Who bought up $3 million dollars of NYT shares? Of course not.
I'd like to know the net worth and the liquid asset sum of CNN commentator and author of that opinion whine, Michael D'Antonio.
There are still Left wing anti-Trumpers that carp about how Trump was given a loan by his dad and Donald never repaid him. As if that would be any of our business to know in the first place.
Hate boy I tell ya, it is fascinating to watch how low Trump haters will go just to smear the man. It makes them feel accomplished I guess.
Hey Democrats, Trump is a billionaire. There's no law that says any candidate for office has to turn over their tax returns. Deal with it.

Agreed, I don't see how these people can look themselves in the mirror in the morning and still take themselves seriously. Have they no shame or self respect? I mean at a certain point after they've told the 15 millionth lie maybe they do some self reflecting and think "why how come for nobody believes me?"

It's about time we start 5150ing some of these folks. For their everyone else's and their own safety.

Is Trump the greatest ever con man in American history? Has he ever made a significant profit in his business dealings? Has he ever done more than squander the vast wealth he has had thrown at him since day one of his life?

The Trump revelation we've been waiting for: The emperor had no dough (Opinion) - CNN
Trump is just a live image of the cartoon character Richie Rich. That's why he keeps that idiotic hair, why he acts like an arrogant boor, and why he pretends he's worth billions of dollars and is a great businessman. When really, he's just a professional media "character", like Paris Hilton, or the Kardashians. He sells this cartoon 'image' of wealth and opulence, through his brand-name "Trump", to foreign hoteliers. That's it. That's pretty much all he does, now. He's failed at so many business attempts that no investment bank or investor will give him any money. Only banks controlled by foreign powers give him money because they aren't doing it expecting a profitable return. They're doing it to make a mockery of the U.S., through him.

I've suspected all along that he's hiding his tax returns because he doesn't want the world to know he's not really "Richie Rich": the icon of American wealth, and opulence. He's just another Hollywood-made phony trading on the flatulence of his "fame", soon to become his infamy.

It is unknown whether there has ever been a greater con man than Trump.
But no one has ever conned their way into a position of power as great as the presidency of the United States.

So he is definitely pretty special.

I think you're more biased than cautious but I'm just as biased.
What bias do you claim I have?
Your following sentences suggest greater bias.
I don't need his tax returns to make up my mind on the man's character.
It would only surprise me if any claims he makes turn out to be true.
I don't need his tax returns at all...except for discussion purposes here.
They don't affect any policies he'll favor or oppose.
And that is what matters to me.

Suuuuuuure I believe that.
Do you have any reason, other than your own obviously intransigent position, to suppose that @joe1776 was telling a falsehood, that his statement that he would, if running for office, willing share his returns?

If not, I think your comment to be somewhat gratuitous, even a little unkind.

Actions speak louder than words. It's easy to say that you are gonna do something. It's a different thing to actually do it. I believe in action not talk.

And I don't tend to automatically disbelieve people, until they give me some reason for suspicion. A default position of distrust never seems to me to be a path to building good relationships, or dialogue.

So you admit you are naive/gullible then?

I don't suggest that as a good way to live life. You are free to live and you choose of course. But living that way will bring you much pain.

I don't think that was really called for, nor do I think you choice of words ("naïve/gullible") particularly reflective of where I'm coming from.

When I first meet someone, my first instinct is not to try and hide my wallet, cower in fear because I suspect they're planning something nefarious, refuse to shake their hand because they might take my rings, or put up my guard against anything they say. My first instinct is to at least give them a chance, and that (while admittedly having its risks) allows for the possibility of establishing a mutually beneficial relationship. I can decide how that is going as the relationship proceeds, but to decide before it begins is to deny the possibility altogether, probably without cause.

You are, of course, free to mistrust everyone who ever enters your presence (which I'm beginning to suspect you might do), but my own feeling is that that is likely to lead to a lonely, possibly miserable existence.

Is there risk in trusting? Of course, because there's risk in everything. But there's also very little to be gained without taking a risk, here and there.

It occurs to me that tax returns are a poor way for the unfamiliar
to evaluate someone's financial performance in real estate.
A more real world measure, which is also simpler, is to examine
one's change in equity (asset value minus debt) over the years.

It's not derogatory. That the words that describe people who don't question life/people/info enough.

Anyways this conversation is going nowhere all that needs to be said has. So with that I bid you adieu.

Trump made and lost billions that automatically makes him evil. Of course Bernie, Biden, Obama, the Clinton's, and even Nadlers pudgy lil butt make millions but they are a-ok!

I think some propagate the anti-Trump rhetoric just to watch Republicans respond and get upset. Others may be doing it because it is literally their job. Remember when the DNC was found out to be paying Internet Trolls to Troll forums and political topics? The rest may just buy the Democrat garbage because they believe what they're told watching non-credible Liberal bias news outlets like CNN and MSNBC. And as we know, CNN has admitted to broadcasting fake news.

When Trump wins in 2020 what then? I doubt they will realize their smear campaign, defamation and slander agenda against Trump didn't work. Rather, I think they'll see it as another opportunity to spend 4 more years lying about Trump as they continue to be eat up with hate. The forum Trolls will have four more years of paychecks. And the deluded believers in Left wing propaganda reporting will remain numb above the eyebrows. And guaranteed there will be another resurrection of the, Trump is just like Hitler, slur.

Interesting...I saw no specific info from the returns.
This matters because we don't know if the author's
opinion is based upon knowing how to read a return,
& how to adjust for IRS accounting oddities to determine
actual net income.
I agree that some hard data would be nice. This was not the original source, that was the New York Times. But in this day and age a link to the data the article was based upon should be available.

Business tax returns are probably different from personal ones. I am betting that the data comes from his business returns and not his personal ones.

Hopefully the number of incompetent and immoral voters will not be high enough for that to happen.

Oh come now, it was high enough for it to happen the first time. And that's because irredeemable smelly Walmart shoppers know better than to trust their country to a Democrat traitor.

I do believe that Trump has as much admitted to trying to disguise the perceived values of those over the years. I can't remember the source but he said something that amounted to trying to make the IRS think that he does not have as much as he has and trying to make his creditors think That he has more.
