What is there not to accept about the fricken article, (extremely colourful ah-homenin epithet deleted by the writer)?

Is this supposed to bolster the viewpoint that Tennessee is a hotbed of anti-Islam, Anti-Muslim sentiment?

If anything, over a two and one half year period is shows that these are very isolated incidences. On top of which, there is no actual proof that the torching of the equipment was aimed at the Muslim developers. When, and if, that proof emerges we can revisit this. For all we know this was a random act of arson, committed by kids who were so loaded, they barely knew what they were doing or where they were. Likewise it could have been perpetrated by some knuckle-dragging, hate-mongering, mentally challenged Islamophobe with extremely small genitals. We don't know because we don't have all the facts. Sheeeeesh!

It's to show that it's out there period. Not just at "ground zero" even though it's not at ground zero and it's not a mosque. But even real mosques are getting attacked all over the country. Even recently on "The Daily Show" they did a good expose of all this anti-Muslim crap. And no it was not a random act of arson. Read the freakin article. In the recent case there was a sign of the future place and anti-Muslim rhetoric was written on it.

Ooooh, no...your crafty ways won't work on me.
It's not about facts & I'm not biting.

Uh huh yeah sure. Keep your head in the sand to innocent people being hurt in emotional and sometimes physical ways and keep making excuses and more people will be hurt. Pathetic.

Trust me, the so-called "ground zero Mosque" will never be built. No contractor or worker will raise a hammer in the construction of such a travisty and "in your face" defiance of America. Sorry people, it's just not going to happen. However, in the extremely unlikely event that construction on the Mosque actually takes place, it will never know a moments peace - attempts to bomb it or burn it to the ground will haunt it relentlessly, no matter what anybody does or what the government does to try to prevent its impending doom. You simply have to face reality folks, 70+% of the American public does not want this Islamic center built at its current location. It will be an accursed structure from its very conception.

"Think not, O men of mildewed minds, that ye can escape the great beasts of the Powers of Darkness by entering your shrines, for they follow fast through angles, and they lurk within the Trapezoid. I know them, for I am as One with them, and I have approached the great Barrier, and seen on the shores where time exists not, the monolithic forms of the Hounds of Tindalos." - Dei Elektrischen Vorspiele by Anton LaVey

You going for a world record in failed prophesy or what? Thinking the project is in poor taste is a far cry from trying to blow it up or turning down a fat paycheck in protest.

"Pathetic"? Pinky, Pinky, Pinky....you ought not use such harsh & provocative language.
I've seen that you can't handle a response in kind without an emotional meltdown.
I'll not trade flames with someone who isn't up to the task.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

Good call.

The building isn't reserved just for worship, hence it's not a mosque. Most airport chapels I have visited have a copy of a Qur'an and a prayer rug, are they mosques too?

No mosque is reserved for worship, hence none are mosques. Just as churches are no reserved for worship, synagogues are not reserved for worship, and so on and so on. Where is your argument again?

We shall see. I am totally convinced that this Islamic center will never come to fruition. Common sense tells me this, not "prophecy".
