the issue of same-sex restrooms is a complex one, with valid concerns on both sides of the argument. They're a coming thing. (Well, maybe not in Texas). I've used them in several settings already (in the UK).
I don't care providing privacy is afforded (and the hand dryer works).
You'll find them all over France and no one has a problem with that. If they are clean and have a lock, what is the big deal anyway?

I got used to them in college. No problem for me. If people are bent out of shape of someone with the wrong genitals or genetics using a restroom, then instead of a generic "woman" or "man" shape on the door, they should show a penis or vulva or genetic code on the door and then have genetic or genital inspections to enforce it. Seems much more simple and adaptable to shifting gender roles to just go to same sex restrooms and have more private areas in them.

There may be people who do have separate bathrooms at home, but for the most part, everyone lives with shared bathrooms at home...
