Universe a big brain

Yes, that's a good story, about an "out of body" experience, in someone undergoing anaesthesia.
Way, way out of body, yes. In later SF there were occasional stories which you may have come across reversing this idea ─ where atoms were thought of as miniature solar systems and the right shrinking machine could take you. Makes Fantastic Voyage seem rather tame. (Come to think of it, Inception works on a not unrelated idea, levels within levels within levels.)

The
Friend!
I must have misunderstood something for sure, please. Will one explain it in simple words for me, please.

Regards

The OP and the discussions thereafter made it clear that scientists are not claiming any intelligence for the universe. I am repeating the OP:

Astrophysicists find similarities between the structures and processes of the human brain and the cosmic web.

I wonder. Human brain appears from the third person’s view a web of neurones but first person experience is of existence-awareness. What about the cosmic web?
