Are you into Japanese pronunciation today?
You could have a lot of fun with that. It is not as easy to write the fun parts as it is to describe some of the things with voice.
My wife who is from California but speaks Japanese perfectly, before she got sick, once asked a person what "onemanbasu" meant. said in Japanese of course. A little girl answered her instead of the adult, and said in Japanese of course, "it means one man bus." In other words a bus that is operated by one person. This made us both laugh. Here we could not understand what was said in Japanese because it was English with a big difference.
Even nowadays, they somehow don't know or understand that even when official government wants to write some translation in English, it just might be a good idea to get a person who is fluent in English to verify their sentences, or words.
