Reckless, dangerous, and stupid. The kicker? I would be willing to bet a years salary that each and every one of these morons is vaccinated.

Yeah, you wonder if they are aware of what the diseases we get vaccinated against will do to you.

I wonder how many people don't believe in vaccines. I just thought it was a few people here and there. I think they should check with their doctors on this, especially if they're not having their kids vaccinated. Their kids might be better off if they heed the advice of their doctors. I don't think faith healers would be very helpful.

I did get all my childhood vaccinations. And made sure my children got theirs. But I don't get the flu vaccine. As an adult, I am terrified of needles. Besides (knock on wood), I have never had the flu. My friends that get the flu shot? About half of them actually get the flu. Don't know if maybe I just have a pretty good immune system or what.

There are a few who have special medical conditions that make some vaccinations problematical. Those few rely on heard immunity which is compromised by the anti-vaxxer hysteria.

It is rational and a good idea to know what conditions are a problem. Who Should not Get Vaccinated | CDC is a good list.

They have to predict which flu strains will be the most common several months in advance, and sometimes they get it wrong. There are also questions of the efficacy of specific vaccines, and the possibility of a flu strain evolving after they design a vaccine for it. However, getting a flu vaccine will up your chances of fighting it off, and that is important for people who take care of vulnerable groups like the elderly.

Herd immunity! Teach these deniers about herd immunity.

All schools should ban pupils unless they have full inoculation records.

I am one of those people. The medium used cause major reactions to the point of hospitalization. I check ever few years with my GP to see if anything changed but it seems like the manufacturing process is set in stone with it's ingredients

In my whole time nursing I only encountered 2 vaccine deniers... amazingly, one of them was a nurse, and she had literally had an unvaccinated child die of a childhood illness. Still rejected vaccines.

That would probably depend on the vaccine since they are all a bit different. Many vaccines grow viruses in chicken eggs, and people can have a strong allergic reaction to the egg proteins found in the vaccine. You may also have strong reactions to specific toxoids that they use for inoculation, such as tetanus toxoid or diphtheria toxoid. When I was a kid I had a very strong reaction to a tetanus shot that I still remember vividly, so I certainly know what you are talking about.

Correct. My wife is an RN, and she is required to take the flu shot.
