Also, for likelihood to even come into question, God must be adequately defined. I personally think that merely saying "creator" isn't nearly enough. Not evidence OF a god, but also not evidence that there IS NO god. The likelihood of there not being a god gets raised due to parsimony and infinite regression.
I don't believe you. Please provide an exact calculation. Show your work. Not evidence OF a god, but also not evidence that there IS NO god. The likelihood of there not being a god gets raised due to parsimony and infinite regression.
What you believe is no longer irrelevant.I don't believe you. Please provide an exact calculation. Show your work.
What "exact calculation" are you requesting specifically?I don't believe you. Please provide an exact calculation. Show your work.
clarity of reasonI assumed that your claim of "certainty" could be backed up with evidence. Without any evidence, how can you be certain?
the pivot is faith.....the ability to believethe definition has a built in pivot.
I say the big bang and evolution are evidence of God.
But, reason would dictate that certainty requires evidence of some kind.clarity of reason
Faith is not certainty though. Certainty does not require faith.the pivot is faith.....the ability to believe
I use reasoning to build my belief
The one that leads to the ignore list. What "exact calculation" are you requesting specifically?
when you don't have a photo, a fingerprint, an equation or a repeatable experiment.....Faith is not certainty though. Certainty does not require faith.
and no...it does notBut, reason would dictate that certainty requires evidence of some kind.

Clarity of reason is demonstrated by lack of any falsification and accuracy of prediction. Certainty drives faith away by obviating the need.Faith is not certainty though. Certainty does not require faith.
Multiple and supporting inferences that reach the same conclusion via different paths works just fine.when you don't have a photo, a fingerprint, an equation or a repeatable experiment.....
all you got is faith
and all you can do is think about it
Certainty without evidence is just one part fairy tale combined with two parts hubris.and no...it does not
Exactly, so how can you be certain about this?when you don't have a photo, a fingerprint, an equation or a repeatable experiment.....
all you got is faith
and all you can do is think about it
you didn't mention logic....Clarity of reason is demonstrated by lack of any falsification and accuracy of prediction. Certainty drives faith away by obviating the need.
Multiple and supporting inferences that reach the same conclusion via different paths works just fine.
Certainty without evidence is just one party fairy tale combined with two parts hubris.
redundant...you areExactly, so how can you be certain about this?
No, you just haven't answered my question, so I asked it again.redundant...you are
Logic is an inherent part of evidence, illogical evidence is an oxymoron demanding revision of the base claim, it is belief in retrograde.you didn't mention logic....
I can now ignore you
no.... logic resides.....in your headLogic is an inherent part of evidence, illogical evidence is an oxymoron demanding revision of the base claim, it is belief in retrograde.
When someone says, "God is extremely unlikely," I want to see the exact calculation used to arrive at the "extremely unlikely" probability. Otherwise, it's just someone saying what he or she feels. What "exact calculation" are you requesting specifically?
