Voting Frubals!!!

How some people can be content to allow such a small part of the population to determine what happens to them is beyond me.....
If my choices are to drink pee in a purple cup or a brown cup, I really could care less. Many people feel that way, and if we, meaning me and anyone else that feels like me, truly believes that it doesn't matter who is in office, we are exercising something stronger than voting. Boycotting the process...

Some say vote for the lesser of two evils, but I say mind your own business. I could probably talk circles around many people on issues who go to vote, as I pay attention to what is going on, but just choose to not participate.

Example, neither McCain or Obama represented what I would want, so why vote?

I think you should get one of these when you vote, and if you don't have one no one should listen to you when you mouth off.

(Yes I know govermnet is splled worng )
I've always found this an odd position. I mean as a child I understood it, and never really questioned it.

However, if whomever I vote for leads to problems and an alienated direction from my perspective, why should I vote?

Think of it this way. If we are aiming for a goal or destination, and it requires we travel a certain set of roads. Then well into our journey we find we are not even on the right or correct road anymore, should we think continuing in that direction should get us closer to our goal or destination? Or course not, the sooner, we stop, turn around and find our position again, the sooner we can get over our embarrassment of being lost, and heading in the right direction.

It is the same with politics, all roads are leading to the wrong destination.

Yet, you feel I should not be aloud to voice my opinion? It seems to do more good informing the public of realities, rather than pulling a lever or pushing a button.

Anyway...

If you don't vote you should be entitled to your opinion, but no one should listen to you.

Baseless and senseless, but as you say we can all have opinions.
I am never one to say when someone should or shouldn't listen to another. Your words sound more like Dictatorship, no?

Baseless again.. No one made a decision for anything I did today. Thank you very much :D
Correct. No one made a decision for anything you did.
But many made decisions today that will affect you and your family.
You simply refrained from contributing to these decisions.

Well, I'm Canadian, so I can't vote in your Yankee elections, but I love voting, and make sure to do it everytime we have an election. I feel that unless you get off your *** and attempt to make a difference in your community and country, than you have no right to ***** or spew your hatred about how said community or country is being run.

There are ways to make big changes in our community without voting.
Non-sequitur!

Exactly my point, I know it is an unpopular concept with some people, but we were taught that rights have duties attached to them. I do get the frustration with a system where there are no real choices, but I still think you should go through the process of voting even if you just spoil your vote as protest, imagine if everyone who was ****** off with the government spoiled their vote, I think it would open the way for independent candidates to run in the future.

In theory you are correct, but in the last 10 years of being married, NOTHING AT ALL has changed with me or my family on a day to day basis, and leaders have come and gone. So on theory you are correct, in reality not so much. Nice strawman though!
