i used to buy sweepstakes before around 10 years for a chance
to win a big cash.

i didnt win even a consolation prize eventhough i was buying
sweepstakes for years.

One day in the morning i bought a sweepstakes ,but that day
was different than all other previous days.

i dont know what happened to me at that day that my mind wandered
so far and i started to talk with myself,why i am not winning even
a consolation prize,who control the running wheels,nobody,it depends
on the luck,i said can god control such things.

i looked up to the sky and i said from inside my mind,god are you there,
are you real,i just want to reassure my heart that you are real and true,
god i promise that i will worship and obey you,but only my request is to
show me an evidence that you are real,i know i dont have the right to ask
you to do so,but i beg you to help me to know you.

i said,god,i dont want to be among the grand winners,but only a consolation
one is enough to let me know you,i dont want the prize,but i want to know that
you are real and do exist.

The draw for the winning numbers was on the evening of that day and
i didnt watch the draw on tv.

in the morning i opened the newspaper to check for the winner numbers,
i started from the consolation ones,the sweepstake was in my pocket and
i memorized the number (7 digits),i was disappointed,my number was faraway
from the consolation ones,then i started to go up for the 4 grand winners,
of course i was apathetic at that moment,then i stopped on the 2nd prize,the
number seems close to my number,i was shocked that i forgot the exact number.

i got the sweepstakes from my pocket and checked once again,i dont believe my
eyes,i got the 2nd prize and not a consolation one.

From my story which happened to me exactly as i described it to you,
do you think that it was just a coincident or god did realy implemented my request.

Fate presupposes a "set order of events." Talk about boring! Coincidence lends itself to the serendipitous confluence of disparate events, and allows for greater freedom of eventualities.

I just don't think God's a magic genie, and I don't think God participates in the gambling activities of the lottery. Nor do I think God could care less how much money we want.

you are right,but that depends how it happened.

at that moments i didnt know how it happened and i was not planning to request
that from god,but my mind wardered and i did it with faith eventhough i am not
a faithful man,but that happened to me without any plan but arbitrary.

to explain it in other words,

if there is a closed door and every one tried to open that door,but each key is not
matching,so you will never able to open the door.

i guess that the key to reach god is by a real faith,and such faith cant be just performed
by action without a real faith which is very hard to achieve.

and i think that there is no relation between religion and reaching god as i
was not a religeous guy and even not so now.

But to be honest at that day i felt a strange feeling as few tears dropped
from my eyes while i am requesting god to show me an evidence that he
is there.

A miracle anybody survived Ontario crash that killed 11: Police

HAMPSTEAD, Ont. - A provincial police constable who was at the scene of a horrific crash that killed 10 migrant workers and a truck driver in southwestern Ontario says it's a miracle anyone survived.

Const. Kees Wijnands described the carnage after a minivan and a flatbed collided near Stratford and said it's amazing that three people are still living. (ist coincedence)

The head of Emergency Management Services said five of the victims were already dead when fire officials arrived, and the others died as paramedics tried to help them.

Police said some of the victims have family nearby, but others have relatives in Peru.

It could be many things, let me break it down a little:

1. Allah does not lead people to do haram (to play lottery, or casino or with dice etc is haram). Allah knows the future so to say that Allah accepted your dua' regarding something haram is not correct. It is the same like asking Allah to help you impress a girl so you can commit adultery, Allah doesn't accept an evil dua'.

2. Your initial intention was that you would not take the prize, but instead just wanted Him to help you and recognize his favour upon you. Allah probably helped you and in return you broke your promise and Allah sent a punishment on you, it was either a punishment or just a test.

3. It could have been just a coincidence and the suffering you went through afterwards may have been from Allah. People turn to God when they are in suffering so maybe through that suffering He made you draw closer to Him.

But please remember that i'm not a scholar and don't know this stuff very well, may Allah forgive me if i have said something wrong.

so many muslims ask for a sign from allah, and ask him to heal their terminally ill children, and the children die anyway. yet, NO ONE. NOT EVEN ONCE says "surely, allah does not exist for he did not heal any of our children".....

yet when you ask allah for a sign, and after getting no sign for 10 ******* years, finally you get lucky and win the lottery......YUPEE!!! ALLAH SURELY EXISTS!! I WILL OPEN A THREAD ON A RELIGIOUS FORUM NOW.... **** finally came around for me. so i will ignore all this time things didnt work out and focus on this one time i got lucky and say it wasnt luck....

same mentality many christians hold when they go to the store.... if they find a parkingspot close to the entrance they say "god provided a parkingspot for me".... when they can only find a spot 5 miles away they say "god is teaching me patience"..... its a ******* win win situation aint it folks..:shout

What's the matter mate? you don't seem happy?

Death is part of this life, and this life is good for some people and bad for others. Those who suffer need to endure their state with patience, those who don't suffer are tried with their wealth and health, whether they are going to use them for good or for evil selfish things.

If a person does good all his life and then he does one bad thing, everyone forgets the good he has done and emphasize that little bad things as being the only thing he has ever done.

So if God doesn't answer prayers for 10 years and then one day he does, then be grateful for it, you asked for help and forget the past and move on.
