i'm not exclusively a christian. i share some things in common with christians but idolatry isn't one of them.
Idolatry can take many forms. Christians don't commit idolatry.
loving self as god and loving other as self and as a manifestation of god's spirit are the two greatest commandments.
this is christ in all, or All in all.
Loving God is not about loving self as God! Loving God with all your heart, mind, body and soul is about loving him more than you love yourself. Loving your neighbour as self is about doing unto them as you want others to do to you.
1 Corinthians 6:19
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit
who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
Explain what happened to Saul. It is one thing to claim to have something another to actually be lead by what you claim,.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us
notice it says no man, that includes Jesus.
Jesus said: " I know from whence I came and where I am going,," Stephen in Acts 7 we see as a man and alive he said:
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
As you can see Stephen recognised God and Jesus sat at his side. With the New Covenant came the new.
The former things no longer exist and there is no reason why someone in Christ and the Spirit cannot see God now. We don't live in bible age we live in the age of God with man.
King James Bible
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Don't settle for anything but the truth...
