And regarding military adventurism, it's all about "women & children", with this coming from both sides. It comes from the left as well. It's all about the children in regards to their agendas (gun control, for example.) Children are powerful pawns in political games. Either you garner sympathetic support, or you demonize your enemy as hating children.

No, but the latter half of my post (which you omitted) did. The first half was pointing out that it comes from both ends of the spectrum, rather than "primarily from the right" as your OP sets up.This says very little to the title of this thread though
Care to provide some references to the 'comes from the left' statement? It comes from the left as well. It's all about the children in regards to their agendas (gun control, for example.) Michael Regan noted that it's used by both Democrats and Republicans. President Clinton used the phrase in his address to the International Labour Conference. For anything past that, just go to Facebook and friend a bunch of Liberals.Care to provide some references to the 'comes from the left' statement?
What issue? Your opening statement just asks if anyone has noticed the use, and lays it at the feet of the Right.I omitted it because I didn't find that it really spoke too much to the issue.
You make it sound like people are saying "We have to protect the White Christian kids." When I've ever heard the comment I've always read it to mean children in general. Duh!Anyone else notice this odd little double standard in our political discourse? Primarily, it seems to come from the right side of the aisle- more often than not.

How did children even become this important. They can barely take care of themselves. They're untrained and fun to replace.Anyone else notice this odd little double standard in our political discourse? Primarily, it seems to come from the right side of the aisle- more often than not.
What children do liberals omit from their protection arguments?Michael Regan noted that it's used by both Democrats and Republicans. President Clinton used the phrase in his address to the International Labour Conference. For anything past that, just go to Facebook and friend a bunch of Liberals.
An excellent jaw to the fist! You make it sound like people are saying "We have to protect the White Christian kids." When I've ever heard the comment I've always read it to mean children in general. Duh!
For the record, using "clock boy" as an example is pretty lame due to the circumstances behind the story. It was clearly a setup and everything the family has done since then supports that it was done to garner a reaction.
Not a point that I touched on, at all. What children do liberals omit from their protection arguments?
Yet it's the point of the thread. Right there in the title. Not a point that I touched on, at all.
The problem is that fervent partisans will see sins on their foe far more than their own.No, but the latter half of my post (which you omitted) did. The first half was pointing out that it comes from both ends of the spectrum, rather than "primarily from the right" as your OP sets up.
