Then I return to my first point, that you read too much into it. They're just trying to say they (want to) get along and help each other do their work.I never said that.
I can be friendly and professional with my coworkers without being "family" with them. To be "family" is unprofessional, and I prefer professionalism in my workplace.
I can understand what you mean, but if you're looking for a job, I think it'd be best for you to just ignore that expression and focus on other things, like what do they want you to do, can you do it and why should they hire you. (Remember, you're asking them to hire you.. they can also hire someone else. It really doesn't matter to them).
