I played 4 games of go against COSUMI in the wee hours of this morning.
(Couldn't sleep because of vexations.)
Gawd! I am so out of it!
My game is so awkward, clueless, & I've no discipline.
I won 2, & lost 2.
But for one game margins were wide....a sign of inconsistency.

I had been playing Warzone 2100 on my home machine. Old game, but fun. I cheated my way through it, so it painted me into a corner on the last mission and I couldn't get past it.

I'm still looking for a new game for the PS4 but nothing has really stuck out to me.

That's wonderful.
But I'd be ashamed to have someone I know outside of go see my dismal faults.

But on the flip side, the better you get, the more fun it is. And, we have to band together to defeat AlphaGo!

I like it! When I'm not playing Go, I'm playing my Martin :)
I wish I knew someone who wanted to play GO and could give me a few pointers. I had a board, and a book, years ago. Looks like a game I could enjoy.

A Martin eh ? Nice. So you're not a shredder then ? :)

FF VII. Been awhile since I've played it. So long I forgot you can't save limit attacks.
FF X was very enjoyable. Definitely liked it more this time around, but I was able to more appreciate the ending this time around (probably that "growing up" thing and having learned much since the last time I played). I'm gonna try and get the platinum trophy for it, but I don't know if I'll have the patience to play it long enough to grind levels long enough to max the sphere grid for all characters (I'm probably at the very most no more than half-way done with any given character, with Auron being the furthest along, followed by Lulu, then Yuna). I do know someone who did do that for the PS2 version, and I thought it was overkill then.
Tactics will probably be next, as it's one I've never finished. But I'm also wanting to play the Arc the Lad games, as 4 is the only one I've played. Vandal Hearts 2 is another one I've been wanting to play, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Although I'll have to play 1 again, because it's been long enough that all I remember is some really awesome attacks, liking the game, and a ton of blood.

Yesterday, I got on PSN and bought the 3-pack of the PS2 classics GTA III, VC, SA. I'm really, really looking forward to playing them on my PS4. Last time I played these games, I didn't have even a flat-screen TV and didn't know what HD was. Ought to be a lot more fun now taking my frustrations out on the citizens and law enforcement now that I can really see what I am doing.

I remember when I first got my PS3 (maybe five or six years ago), and I had only a standard-def TV. Pretty much all the text was blurry and difficult to read. Even a few 360 games got to be that way (such as Fable 3).

Lord of the Fallen is very fun. Easier than Dark Souls but the fast combat is a lot more fun in some cases. Dark Souls 3 in a few weeks!

That Mario Brothers 3 video I posted above has inspired me to get better at the game. But, in all honesty, I didn't even know you could get through an entire level walking back wards, take off flying as soon as you get a leaf if your running meter is all the way charged, and the warp in level 1-3 I thought you had to hold the down button for a few seconds for that to work.
But I tried it, tried that walking backwards things in level 1-2, failed, horribly, and got frustrated and moved on.

It may sound blasphemous, but I'm finding FF VII didn't age that well. Not the worst aging I've seen, but it's definitely far from aging well. The game play definitely needs an update.
Does anyone else here feel that the Mario games have tended to age very well? Granted 1 is a relic of its time, and 2 is terrible, but 3 is still a ton of fun (I still wish the Tanuki and Hammer brother suits made more appearances), World is still amusing, Legend of the Seven Stars is epic (I've noticed many of the same sound effects in that game are used in FF VII) and even 64 is still entertaining. Even the first Mario Kart is still a lot of fun, even if it is just for the difficulty (Kart 64 I think wasn't really that good).

I do look forward to rewatching Advent Children after I finish VII though. Too bad X didn't get any good follow ups.

Warzone 2100 was a classic and a personal favourite of mine. I loved the campaign against The Collective, then things got really interesting against NEXUS.
