I kinda can't wait until I get my Warlock up high enough for AV so I can partake in one of those several hour-long battles. I miss those days of logging off to go to work, logging back on 8 hours later, and finding myself in the same AV battle that was going on when I left, LOL!

I didn't realize the Romance series was still around. I thought it was replaced by Dynasty Warriors, and it's very-well-run-into-the-ground how many ever games they're at now (I pretty much quit playing after 6 or 7).
Yep! They are still making them. They're on number XIII now.
I like VIII and X personally, because they let you play as individual officers.

Never forget the battles of Tarren Mill and Southshore that not only killed hundreds of players but killed hardware as well

I remember a few times having to deal with the frustration of dead quest givers/turn in people and slain flight masters.

I didn't have any hardware issues, and I never heard of any. But god how I miss the long battles of Alterac Valley, planning attacks and group work for even the easiest of instances, the careful planning for raids, and the Horde kicking Alliance ***! (at least, we were pretty dominate on PVP on my server at that time and through BC, then we got too many people who didn't want to work as a team and we ended up loosing very consistently).

I use to play on Arthas, which was one of the top (population) servers at the time. So those battles would take out the server especially when top guilds showed up enmass.

AV... Have you heard of Pat? If so I had to deal with him a lot. A few of his videos have old guildmates of mine getting slaughtered back in the day when AV never ended in a day but in weeks.

Yah a new one just came out in Asia but it isn't very good. I still play 11 a lot. DW never appealed to me as I like strategy/tactics games more than button smashing. (Generalization of DW)

The chat was a greater hazard than the Alliance.

Enhancement Shaman was fun before the Windfury (internal CD) and 1.3 dagger nerfs.

I have no idea who that is. I encountered this "Matt" guy once, and someone on my team got shook up about it, thought the game was over, and said the guy was really good, but by the time my team mate told me this I had already killed this Matt guy two or three times.

What chat did the Alliance have? On the Horde, in the Barrens, we had a bunch of dumb talk, random nonsense, stupid crap, but above all else, Chuck Norris jokes. I even remember wanting to get the "I Survived Barrens Chat" t-shirt just because it was mind numbing dumb.

I was hoping to be able to fight the last fight with Seymour until after I was strong enough to defeat the dark aeons, but I couldn't find most of the fiends in the first part of Sin, so I had to defeat him, which took me two full turns and Auron attacking for the third round to end it, so I could move on to finish off the monster arena collection in Sin. Now I'm just down to the omega ruins for fiend collecting, and then going back to get five of everything to unlock the ultima buster. It's fascinating how there is pretty much almost an entire game's worth of end-game stuff to do, and even more so fascinating that I didn't do any of it during my only prior play of the game back when it first came out. I didn't even know you could revisit the Chamber of Fayth at all the temples until last night.

I don't think the Alliance had a barrens counterpart. I think what set barrens apart was its size and level range, meaning it always had more players there than in most other zones.

I started Star Ocean: First Departure. Too bad the game never made it here for the SNES all those years ago.

I'm getting better at consistency of play.
In my most recent game against COSUMI, I lose a small group in the opening, but persevered, & beat it by about 50 points.
(It has problems with life & death issues in its middle game.)

Damn! I get excited about a huge WoW vanilla server (nostalrious), with a large enough community to run instances throughout, and it gets shut down.:(

Stardew Valley (entirely made by ONE person!) and Hatoful Boyfriend, lol. I've also mostly played through Twilight Princess HD, just have the 2 last dungeons and some side-quests left.

If I pretend Bloodborne doesn't exist I'm enjoying Dark Souls 3 so far. The first boss was already the craziest game enemy I've ever seen, so hopefully that keeps up!

I'm trying to decide what I want to play next. I'm roughly about half way through Star Ocean: First Departure, and I'm not enjoying it nearly as much as I did The Second Story. I also didn't enjoy Till the End of Time and The Last Hope nearly as much as I did The Second Story. And I do wish the Star Ocean anime would have continued on to finish the story rather than coming to an end when the first disc of the game ends.

I may have to get a Wii U now.

Might want to wait for the next console, it might come out this year... And who knows if it'll have backwards compatibility. Also even if it doesn't, I'm sure the price of the WiiU will drop after it's released.

And wow, I've stayed up late last night, I binge played through Life is Strange. Damn, this game gave me so much feels. I haven't played a game this emotional and interesting in a long time.
