Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I'm enjoying ace combat 7. Especially the VR missions which is absolutely incredible. Especially taking off and landing on the aircraft carrier.

Also revisiting my love for grand strategy.

Stellaris and Noabungas ambition.

Once I have enough saved for a gaming PC, I'm salivating over getting wargame red dragon, Uboot, and hearts of iron 4.

For now I'm just settling for Combat Mission by battlefront and still loving the xcom series.

Picked up Kingdom Come Deliverance on sale. I enjoy the combat system as it is not hack and slash until X is dead nor has the messiah concept as per Skyrim. Combat flows in a natural way of strike, blocks, counter-strike, parry, dodge, etc. Fighting against numbers is hard to next to impossible. Using a bow is very hard and tied directly to the skill. (Power of draw, stability, aiming) The setting is interesting however I think there is a bit of modernization which makes the game world far more positive than it should be. For example farms are far more like early US/Canada 1800s settlements than what I expect from feudalism. Multiple room homes for example. However in general the environment is very immersive and the graphics are really good if your system can handle it. There is no magic. At best there is alchemy potions which can be used only outside of combat which makes things far more interesting as you need to plan combat not merely charge and yell at people.

Recommend a buy when on sale or when part of a sales bundle with it's DLCs.

I really enjoy that game but it was horrible when it came out due to all the glitches and bugs. I remember I couldn't even play it for at least several months before the patches . Once they did it was a load of fun not to mention the historical aspect of it.

At this moment I'm enjoying Grand strategy.

Nobunaga's ambition sphere of influence

Grand ages medieval

And Stellaris.

Still enjoying VR as well especially Ace Combat 7. Tried out that psvr golf game demo and it was pretty impressive.

Yah I read older reviews which brought up those issues. I held off a buy due to those reviews and discussions until recently.

Far too many games are really just a beta when released. It take a good year for some games to become stable and/or have content which should be in the base game. I am looking at your Civ series!

I like civ as as well.

I'm dying to play UBoot and wargame red dragon as well as the latest ARMA.

I also would love to put Hearts of Iron 4 into my library as well.

Still saving for my PC though. I'm hoping to get it around July or so provided my budget stays stable.

Yup fan since Civ 2.

Uboot or Uboat? Never played ARMA, just not my type of game, but I do have the 3 Cold War games made by Wargames. Waiting on Steel Division 2 myself

Get it on sale. Some of the recent changes may not be your cup of tea as the game has change a bit since release. I have been playing a fallout mod for HOI 4 which is focused on the West Coast and Western America so far. Plans are to extend it to the East Coast. So far the mod is playable but is very script heavy (lore/history factor) for NCR, BOS and Caesar's Legion.

Ive been curious to try that one, because even back then i wasnt very fond of gameboy games.

Well, it doesn't really play like a Gameboy game. It plays more like a Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze rendition of Metroid with just a little bit worse graphics than Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. That's the best way I can think of to describe it.

Hello Nowhere! Long time, no forum. How’s the Bushido going?

Looks like we have some gaming interests in common. I’m a fan of flight simulators and Ace Combat 7 sounds amazing.

I’m been playing this mobile game called Space Delivery. I still have a few spacecrafts to unlock, but it’s just kind of mellow making deliveries from planet to planet in our solar system. The bonus gates have a nostalgic Star Fox feel.

I’ve also played some XCOM in my day, although I’m behind a generation. It’s a challenging series. I become too attached to soldiers, especially after editing their nickname. I either save too much or not at all.

I’m currently playing through the original Sonic the Hedgehog on my Genesis Collection for the 360. Those Chao Emerald bonus mazes have very distracting wallpaper. Going through a retro phase, or possibly just trying to get that Movie Sonic image out of my nightmares.

I'm a big Sonic the Hedgehog fan, of Sonic 2, Sonic 3, and Sonic Adventure 2, and a few others. I thought about making a Sonic image my avatar. But then people would just think I'm 12 and liked Sonic cartoons, rather than someone who grew up when Sonic was good and remembers playing Toejam & Earl too.

Sega was ambitious back in the day. Remember Ecco the Dolphin? Vector-Man? They all had an environmental theme too.

Classic Sonic games mess with one’s sense of momentum... there’s incongruity in the zones. I love the themes of nature vs industry, life vs automation. It’s an animal rescue mission.

The last game I beat was Deracine on PSVR. I liked it a lot, very unique atmosphere and story. I've also been playing Soul Calibur VI.

Im almost done with Farcry 5 infamous difficulty. I really want to like this game, but Im practicaly snoozing through the hardest it has to offer, and for the most part my only strategy has been a DOOM like run-n-gun, kill them before they kill you. I keep reading strategy is a part of this game, but at this point its incredibly unlikely Ill need it. Its just too easy, leaving my feelingike Im sloughing through something that promises to get fun and challenging at some point, but never does.

It's titled UBoot.

I'm a sucker for war/tactical Sims. :0)

Maybe I'll stick with Hearts of Iron 3 once I get the pc.
