I've been replaying God of War. Seriously, Kratos needs to learn how to take responsibility for his actions, learn you can't drink away your sorrows, and learn to grow the **** up. He sold his soul - it's not Ares fault for the things he did after that and it's not the Olympians fault he did it and has some serious PTSD.

I'm in a mood to play Castlevania after watching season 2 last night. I just wonder why in the Netflix series they kept Hector looking identical to how he did in Curse of Darkness, but Isaac was completely redesigned from the ground up?
And it was AWESOME to see Leon Belmont acknowledged again. I'm still waiting for a sequel from Lament of Innocence to see Mathias truly become Dracula.
I'm still wondering though why Grant was left out of the Netflix series. I did get a kick out of Sypha's sex is obscured at first in the series given how the game was inconsistent about it. And I really hope they follow up with a Dracula X series, as I think Richter would be an great choice to lead the story into another series. The Dawn of Sorrow/Aria of Sorrow games are another one I hope to see.

Not every day I find a fan of both Curse of Darkness and Lament of Innocence. Really underrated games and some of my favourites in the series.
They did just release a collection for PS4 titled "Castlevania Requiem", which basically has Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood enhanced for modern resolutions plus other graphical filters.

I like CoD way more, but LoI is still a good game IMO.

I just beat SotN last night, using the luck cheat and keeping the starting equipment. I took my time in terms of map coverage and getting items, and I used the Sword Brother Smash gem trick to get enough gems to get the duplicator to use the duplicator/power of sire/bat pentagram trick to get all my familiars at max level/exp. I ended up beating the game 12 levels higher than my non-cheated previous playthrough,10% more map coverage and exactly 3 minutes less time (overall a bit over six hours).
I hope they keep making games in that spirit like they did with the Sorrow games and Order of Eclesia. But not portable, lol.

Currently playing the heck out of Fallout 76. Having a blast, in spite of the predictable bugginess of the game. The game is getting obnoxiously overblown negative reviews. Ignore them. The problem with having a successful franchise is you build up a fanbase that brings all sorts of expectations to any new title. The most hardcore then scream their collective faces off when the game inevitably fails to conform to their particular set of expectations. Don't get me wrong - the game has it's problems. But for the most part, the reviews I've read fail to actually distinguish the games legitimate problems from the reviewer's personal desires about what the game should be.

Best thing I'd name about this game so far? The moments you have when wandering around and exploring have a visceral feel to them that no other game in the franchise has. That's because the game is real-time. If you are wandering down an abandoned railroad track on your way to your destination and spot a horde of feral ghouls on the cliff above you, there is no "oh crap, I'd better pause the game and prepare for this" and certainly no "oh crap, I don't want to deal with this - time to reload." You just have to deal with it. And that's amazing. So many fun and amazing chance encounters. So many stories get woven in this dynamic world they've crafted - both with and without other players.

I just finished the Last of Us Remastered. Amazing game, brilliant writing. I truly cared about the characters and they're pretty realistic in their personalities. Some of the moral choices they make really make you think, as well.
