I was thinking of getting it, but I'd heard bad stuff about it.
Modern Final Fantasy games really aren't on par with the classic ones.
From what I've heard of XIII, it can basically be described in one word: tunnels.

Intel about Chap. 10 I think it is. Then it opens up.Modern Final Fantasy games really aren't on par with the classic ones.

I'd probably add "button mashing" and "tediuous grinding" to the list as well.Modern Final Fantasy games really aren't on par with the classic ones.

Most JRPGs it seems. Thoug most 'Western' RPGs like Fallout 3(EX.) doen't really have that problem.Well, "tedious grinding" is a problem inherent in most RPGs, even really good ones.

Yeah I remember Ultima. I was thinking more of the none MMORPG WRPG lol ^_^Ever play the Ultima games?
(Or, heck, any MMORPG... those are nothing BUT grinding.)
True, but at least it was optional back in older FF's due to the open world and the only time you'd really have to grind enemies is when you weren't strong enough to defeat a certain boss; You weren't forced to like you are in FF13. Even in FF12 --another linear FF game-- you weren't forced to grind as much as you were in 13, at least experience.Well, "tedious grinding" is a problem inherent in most RPGs, even really good ones.
Hell, I think 9 was maybe that last open world Final Fantasy. It got linear with 10 and they haven't looked back. This is making me want to go play FF7 again.
Jeez, FF10. I was so unimpressed with 10, I never bought another FF game since, doesn't seem like I'm missing a lot.
I'll be downloading that tonight as well. Last Sonic game I played was Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast. :cover:Tonight after work, I'll be playing Sonic 4..
Have you downloaded any of the DLC for that? I was thinking about it (costume packs and all), but wasn't sure if it was worth it or not.Azakel said:Playing me some RE 5 the last few weeks. If my internet connection wasn't messing with my XBox I'd be playing with people and not the IA partner.
