I have to agree with Victor... if I found something wrong about Christianity I wouldn't be a Christian...

Preach it brother! That destructive version of faith is what I call the religion about Jesus rather than the religion of Jesus. Rather than following the prophet's example, teachings and his incredible encounter with the divine, they have deified him. Instead of treating the Bible as one of many nourishing sources they have likened it to an idol and a weapon against those who do not follow the narrow line. Rather than using their minds and seeking for truth they hide behind blind faith, indwelling prejudices, and mold-forming creeds. Instead of worshiping, and encountering a truly loving and merciful God who brings all to salvation and wholeness, they revere a God who separates the saved from the damned, and is one whose morals are questionable (espec. requiring the death of an innocent to bring about atonement). Christianity is not the sole possession of Evangelicals, Fundamentalists. We progressives have a stake in this too. We must reclaim the Bible, Christianity, the figure of Jesus from those who would seek to bring about great harm. My hope is that the message of empowering "the least of these" is taken seriously, where one day the beloved community will be realized, that the cross is viewed as a sign that defending the weak and powerless is a risky business, that we may choose life so that others may live. This post concludes with one of my favorite hymns- All Souls, O God, are thine
All Souls, O God, are thine assurance blest
Thine, not our own to rob of help divine
not ours to doom by any human test,
but thine, O gracious God, and only thine.

Thine, by thy various disciplines, to lead
to heights where heavenly truths immortal shine,
truths non eternally shall fail to heed
for all, O God, are thine, forever thine.

Forgive the thought, that everlasting ill
to any can be part of thy design;
finite, imperfect, erring, guilty still
all souls, great God, are thine, and mercy thine. Amen

I call it Country Club Christianity. Makes me sick.

I think the following quote sums up what is wrong with Christianity...

"Don't tell them Jesus loves them, 'till you're ready to love them too."--Steve Camp

Too many Christians do not...

Blessings to all...

Born Again,Spirit Filled
Their obsessions with SINS.

Their obsessions with telling non-Christians that they will go to hell, while they go to heaven.
It's Jesus who tells you that ,please get of this rampage of blaming Christians for telling you your going to perish unless repent.

Their use of fear of hell to convert people
.
There you go again, please ,it's Jesus' doctrine and God's appeal for man to repent of their sinful nature, don't shoot the messenger. it seems you have your blamshifting ,finger pointing directed at the people you should be least concerned with ,it's God you will face ,whether you believ it or not

Childishly telling everyone got it wrong, and they are right. It is the sort of like "my house is bigger than yours" or "my car is faster than yours" child mentality.
God is love ,his Son on the cross is proof of that, his patience with man's arrogant and sinful behavior is another sign of his love, you may not see it now ,but the day is appraoching very soon where all teh world will see the truth of who God is.

Confusing faith and belief with that of evidence, proof or fact.
Read 1 Corinthians and you will see that the foolishness of the cross was God's plan.you have followed right into it , this is the age of man's supreme pursuit of wisdom ,as if they are wiser then God who created them.
The message of the cross is foolishness to them that are perishing ,but to us it is life

Trying to put religion teachings into secular schools and into secular subjects.
Puting it back into the systems in which it started ,research into the beginnings of some of America's leading universities and you will see they were started to teach man to preach the gospel, ....you might be shocked

Trying to push religious agenda into state law.
Back to where the founding fathers originated, God's principals,
Obviuosly man has messed society up pretty bad,if you take 5 min and look around the world you's see man and his ingenuity has failed, someone has to step in and fix it, and soon.

Hypocrisy. Saying that people should tolerate them, but at the same time they don't tolerating or even persecuting people who don't believe in their religion. Jesus did say not judge or tolerate others if you don't want to be judged or persecuted, but Christians often failed to follow this.
You tell me where true born again cHRISTIANS are persecuting other relgions and I''ll show you in every corner of the globe they are being killed for carrying a bible ,feeding the hungry and showing love

Yet you have to use your wisdom to come to the conclusion that the Bible is telling the truth.

There is nothing wrong with true Christianity. It is the wolves among the sheep that are the problem.

Yes, the Bible says many would come "deceiving and being deceived".
