making the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a sacred cow in Islamic doctrine.
Pathetic anti-semitic drivel, please clean the corner of your mouth, you've got a bit of foam there.
Tell me what have you learnt until now, thats what Im curious about , and thats the purpose behind this thread
.what i dont understand is why muslims dont beleive that he was sent from heaven and that He was always there even before His birth on earth.
Not well at all.How well each one think he/she knows about Islam?
From what I know of Islam it is a religion, and thus like all religions it is pretty much defined by the followers. It's centered around the 5 pillars of Islam and Prophets. Thousands of Prophets were sent but the primary focus is on one Prophet called Mohammed.
To my knowledge, a basic Muslim is someone who believes Allah is their Creator, prays/fasts and reads the Koran. There is some conflict of ideology within Islam itself mostly between two sects: the Shias and the Sunnis.
In a nut-shell that's basically what I know about Islam, correct me if any of the details are wrong.
Not well at all.
I have found that I enjoy reading the Hadith.
I would like to know about each person what they know about Islam?
Yes, I've been reading it.Have you came across the hadith thread made by Cordoba in the Islam DIR?
I think you'll enjoy it Inshallah
It's a religion based on a book written by humans, borrowing and adapting from the Bible what is outdated, but contradicting what is not.Islam is a revealed religion of the Abrahamic tradition.
Maybe the second part of the question:
How well each one think he/she knows about Islam?
Thanks for participating
It is also not very tolerant of Atheism.
The Quran was written by Mohammed himself along a period of time.
The Hadiths are contemporary to it, and were written by close associates of his.
However, there is considerable internal distress about the correct interpretation of that Revelation, and a major division between Shias and Sunnis, which often enough becomes ugly and even violent. Shias and Sunnis have different sets of religious authorities and often share the same geographical territory, albeit not always in harmony.
In fact, I consider the main challenge of Islam as a whole to be acceptance of the diversity of beliefs.
The ultimate goal of Islam is to unite all people under submission to God's
I've had the fortune of being able to debate with Muslims here on RF, and although I do not know the more deeper aspects of Islam, I think I have a very basic understanding of how (for the most part) the religion operates and what Muslims believe.
So no, I'm no expert on Islam. However, personally I do not believe in it's claims of being divine etc etc - but then again I don't believe any religion is <---- Agnostic.
Christianity was the commonest religion of North Africa before 600 AD. Why not now?256. There is no compulsion in religion.
That's false accusation. Because there is no fact or logic in Islam?Kejos, as long as you do not correct your manners in adressing other peoples beliefs, we have nothing to discuss
And yet in the land in which you live in, Islam was first introduced by a military invasion led by the Umayyads. If you mean by diversity, letting them live in peace, then Allah says:Quran ( 2:256)
